Dr. MacGregor is a solid lecturer and uses lots of different methods to get information across. Class is entertaining and helpful to attend but definitely not necessary. Could pass the class just by studying the textbook on Launchpad.

Awesome prof. Lectures were a lot more interesting and engaging than I expected, it was honestly a really enjoyable class. Would recommend showing up though, what he covers is a lot more focused than the text, studying is way easier when you know what's actually relevant. Would definitely recommend taking psych with him.

This was my first ever psychology class I took in University. I can truthfully say I enjoyed the class and was engaged throughout the whole lecture. I am taking his psych 121 class next semester and I am looking forward to it.

Overall he is a goof professor! He talks about what he needs to talk but you need to read everything in the text book and he is quite slow with teaching everything! Make sure you do learning curves as they will help you out extremely! And try answering the chapter objective questions. I realized that helped me out on my third midterm in this class!

I really enjoyed his class for a number of reasons. He is very organized as he posts all of your grades for everything in the class, he provides each powerpoint for each lesson and his assignments on the launchpad are extremely helpful when studying for tests or to just better your understanding of the material. He was by far my fave teacher so far

Michael tests on very irrelevant information which makes studying for tests extremely hard. His lectures usually just briefly go over what the text already tells you and he can barely be heard even in the front row. Study the textbook as he barely tests on his lectures. USE LEARNING CURVE when studying! Overall would not recommend :(

He seems like a nice enough guy but I found his lectures very dull, he looks at the screen when he presents so you can barely hear. There's a few quizzes per week online, if you don't do great on them they bring mark down but if you do good they barely affect it. Tests were tricky because multiple choice options were so similar

MacGregor is a real gem of a guy. However, his ability to teach and engage the class is almost non existent. Almost always he will get off topic and begin rambling about something that really has no importance to what we're learning. You are much better off just reading the textbook front-to-back if you are planning on passing this class.

I read the ratings here before taking the class and everyone is right. He's not a bad guy, is clearly intelligent and knows his craft. I just think some of his knowledge is outdated, and the things he says to the class as random bits of information can be a little controversial, sometimes even just incorrect. Attendance definitely not necessary.

He basically copies his lectures out of the textbook, did not really further explain or add, I did not go to class at all in the last two months and still ended up with an 85, there is homework done every week, but it is online and you are able to pull up the textbook while answering the questions and see the answer. Super easy A, but boring.

Prof MacGregor is a really great prof! Attendance isn't mandatory, but he likes to sneak one or two questions on the test that you would only know the answer if you attended class. Homework due weekly but it is all textbook based and super easy if you read/skim the chapter before or even during the assignment. Do the assignments pass the class!

Never found myself bored in his classes. His general awkwardness adds to his lectures to provide a little comic relief. He is very approachable and cares about his students

His lectures are pretty much useless(in the first year, not afterwards), I skipped over half and still got an 87 in the class.

I studied from the textbook only and did well. I find that the extra stuff we talked about in lectures was not on exams. Michael is great and adds videos and humour into class to make it interesting.

He is a very kind and funny professor. His lectures are pretty interesting and go by quickly. There are a lot of online assignments, especially at the beginning of the year but they are simple. Read the textbook in depth as this is what the tests are mostly based on.

He was a really nice prof but I just found that some of his lectures were hard to follow and I found myself getting bored. The material was very interesting, but get ready for tons of assignments and 3 midterms.

He was very easy to understand and tried to make his lectures interesting, this made it easy to see that he knew what he was talking about. Quite a few tests that include questions from the textbook so it is important to read through it.

This is my favorite Professor. I am taking another one of his classes because he is that good. He knows what he is talking about because he is a reputable clinical psychologist. He is very easy to approach outside and at the end of class. If you really want to learn a lot about Psychology take his classes! Be ready to work hard and be rewarded!

Very disappointed with his class. His lectures are useless and the tests are very hard, on average he would have to curve the marks up 10%+ due to the average being in the 40's%. His lectures do not match the textbook, he is hard to hear in class and you have to read the textbook and take notes off of it to pass the tests.

Although MacGregor is quiet, he provides great information through his lectures. The use of the online Launchpad may seem annoying at first, but it is definitely worth the membership fee. His choice of textbook is great. Nice guy.
