I would take Dr Monheit every semester if I had a choice. He is amazing. He cares about his students. He has a dry sense of humor which takes some getting use to. His voice is very monotone, but the information he gives is just like the test. Take notes, listen, and get an A! He has essays as his midterm and final. They are easy to pass!

So I'll give it to him, he is really interested in what he's talking about. And he really tries sometimes to make it interesting. But the oh my this class was dry. So so dry. It's almost impossible to be attentive. But overall he's just your average old history teacher.

The class is extremely boring and provides utterly useless information. The professor is a nice guy, but his mid-terms and Finals suck!! Pay attention all you want. You will still find yourself studying for multiple hours for an exam that, let's face it, couldn't be more irrelevant. This was the only class I made a B in, and I took hard classes!!!

DR.Monheit is awesome. He gives many extra points for attendance and seminars. He gives 3 quizzes and drops the lost, 2 essay exam midterm and final. go to class and write some notes and you will be ok. Overall i really liked his class.

He's a nice old man who is pretty funny sometimes, in a dry way. But I hated the class! I was excited for Western Civ but I truly hated it. Extremely boring! All he gave was a mid-term, final (ALL ESSAY), and 4 quizzes. Does not give many A's on essay tests, but does give alot of points for extra credit (attendance, study seminars)

Great teacher! You'll do great if you take notes and pay attention bcuz his lecture is where your test and quiz answers will be found. Also, always read the readings that he assigns. He does try to crack jokes to keep students entertained and he will work with you and help you any way that he can. The mid-term and final term is essay.

Incredible teacher. At first he appears a little boring, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Quiz questions come straight from lecture and book. He expects you to do readings from the book. For midterm and final he gives you the essay questions and you write them in class. Very helpful and caring professor. Would take a course of his again.

Attendance not mandatory, textbooks barely get used. Friendly guy, cracks some jokes. 4 quizzes (lowest gets dropped), midterm is 2 long essay questions, final is 2 even longer essay questions. Easy class if you take notes and read them over. Sometimes on his quizzes he uses his historical interpretations. Show up and take notes. Loved it.

You have three quizzes and a midterm and final which are essay. He gives study questions but there are about 50 questions you have to write an essay on so its not easy! He does drop the lowest quiz and gives bonus points for attending study sessions and attendance. You can get a maximum of nine points added to your overall final average!very boring

The only difficult thing about this class is to make yourself go. Attendance isn't mandatory but he adds points to your average if you do go. No tests, just quizzes which come straight from the lectures. Midterms are easy because he gives you the questions for the essays before you take it. I would recommend this class. Nice guy.

HE IS AN OKAY PROFESSOR! THE BEST ART OF HIM IS THAT HE GIVES ALL THE STUDY QUESTIONS FOR THE EXAM! THAT HELPS.......ATTENDANCE IS NECESSARY.....AND ITS REALLY A HARD TIME STAYING AWAKE IN HIS CLASS......BUT HE IS SOMETIMES FUNNY TOO.....WILL ALWAYS HELP IN PULLING UP YOUR GRADES!
