A very nice professor who likes to use a more traditional method of teaching. Yes, he had PowerPoints, but he liked to go through the calculations live in class, on chalkboard, which is essential for this class. Tests aren't exactly difficult, but they won't be easy if you don't practice the materials. Book isn't as necessary with this prof.

Due to timetable conflicts, I didn't attend his class but I went to pietro's lectures instead. One thing I can say about this professor is that his tests are pretty fair and somewhat easier than other professors. As long as you understand the fundamentals and can solve problems from the textbook without memorizing, getting an A in his class is easy

He is very helpful and nice; but his lectures are super boring (his voice is kind of monotone so try to stay awake). Tests are relatively easy. Practice his past tests and an A should be attainable.

Overall, Dr. Mozurkewich was a great prof. His tests were fair if you study well and the exam was fair as well. The lectures were extremely boring mainly due to the content but Dr. Mozurkewich tried his best to make it interesting. I did not attend many lectures and relied mostly on the textbook and past tests/exams. A/A+ is definitely attainable.

Prof. Mozurkewich is really awesome! he explains concepts well and gives fair tests. Do the past tests and textbook questions and you'll do fine! The labs are also fair as long as you know what your doing. I highly recommend Prof.Mozurkewich for Chem 1001!

Best professor for chem 1001. Tests are super easy. Ace the tests. An A is attainable. Try to stay awake in class and take notes, do the assigned questions and problems from past tests. You'll be fine.

His tests are significantly easier compared to the other professors that's the reason i took the course with him and i do not regret it seeing as i ended off with an A. He teaches pretty well too.

This prof is very enthusiastic and highly optimistic! His lectures and slides are exactly similar, so you don't miss out on much if you can't make it. Just like CHEM 1000, it's recommended you make your own notes from the book and do the assigned problems. The tests are a little tricky but definitely feasible. Study off of LOs, and you'll be fine.

I do not know why everybody gave him such a good comment, but I even do not hink he can be a professor at university. His exam is as easy as high school, and his lecture is just like rewrite the slides. As a university student, I can not learn anything from him. He sometimes confused about his slides and he never gave anything expect textbook.

Professor Mozurkewich is probably the best Professor for chem at York. His explanations are clear and thorough. Testing is fair if you study. Textbook use is minimal, if any. You can do well studying his past quizes and listening CAREFULLY to lecture. He doesn't throw curveballs. What you're taught is what you're tested on. Don't take with others.

Excellent Professor. He is a very patient person, who is very passionate about chemistry. He takes his time to explain and does not mind repeating himself if needed. He has been on time with the curriculum although he never seems rushed. This is the first chemistry prof at York that actually cares and does a great job teaching!!!

Prof. Mozurkewich is a fantastic teacher hes always smiling and is really enthusiastic of chemistry, he explains things really well and goes at the perfect pace, making sure everybody understands before continuing. However, I find his tests to be very challenging in that they require a lot of both understanding and thinking. Great class tho :D

He's a great professor, and can answer the same question many times during a tutorial to make sure that everybody is on the same page! He loves the subject he teaches, and teaches REALLY well. His test outlines accurately describe what will be on the tests, but an understanding of the subject, as well as some logic is required to get a high mark.

Not only skilled at chemistry, but is a wonderful teacher and communicator. Extremely patient. Easy tests that practically mirror the outlines he gives out (though some degree of logic is required). His highly degree of enthusiasm and knowledge for Chemistry and the General Sciences will be recognized from the first lecture. Highly recommended!

he's not a horrible professor. he expects you to know the required material, such as previous chem work and calc. he isnt there to teach so much as guide. you have to do a lot of work by yourself. the book isnt useless if you understand what info you need. this is one of those courses you truly need to commit to it to pass.

Dr.Mozurkewich always came to class smiling and enthusiastic, but I found his lectures fast paced and confusing.90% of lecture content was deriving formulas-which we hardly needed for the tests (1st one=HARD, but he was fair with others).Textbook made course 10x more difficult;was OLD,sol'n manual out of print, not student friendly. Stressful course

Nice guy but one of the worst Profs I've ever had. Spends classes deriving formulas. Doesn't explain WHY or give adequate examples. It doesn't help that he uses a textbook from 1983 (it doesn't even have a solution manual). AVOID THIS CLASS.

His pace is acceptable and his tests are generally fair. THE EXAM WILL DESTROY YOU!!! Most of the class was doing generally well (C+ average) and then EVERYONE dropped a grade after the exam (D+). Tread cautiously.
