Probably one of the best professor's I've had so far. The comments about him being poor must be from his physics 100 students, he is an excellent teacher in the higher year courses he now teaches. His stories are interesting and if you pay attention can all be generally related to the topic.

Lectures were completely useless. He would go off on a tangent and be done for the class. I am strong in physics and had no trouble with the assignments or practice problems, but often had no idea what he was saying in lectures.

I still can't understand how people were failing this class. Open book/notes, a LOT of questions on tests were just finding the right equation in the book and pluggin in numbers. Lecture is pointless, but entertaining. Dropped each person's lowest midterm. Homework worth nothing. Reuses and scales midterms/exams.

A good guy, but lectures can be confusing. The textbook is a great resource, especially since the exams are open book and textbook. He has tons of interesting stories and likes to talk about all sorts of topics. He likes to rearrange and combine equations on the board, if you find this confusing just use the individual equations from the text.

Nice guy but terrible teacher. Lectures have no structure and neither does the course really. His tests are quite fair though. Labs have little to do with the lecture material. He's got a million stories though so it stays interesting as long as you weren't planning on doing physics during the lecture.

This man couldn't find a point in a needle factory... zing. His lectures have no structure, and his labs even less. I'd rather shoot myself in the face than take another course from that man. Really nice guy though, stories are very interesting when you hear them the first time around.

He has to be THE most happiest go lucky excited prof I ever met. I loved going to class just to hear him get excited. The man is a never ending pit of stories. This guys has done a CRAZY amount of things in his life!Really helpful in office.Cares about his students and seems to stay in contact with them after the course by sending physics emails

Dr. Steinitz is an absolutely brilliant man. he started university at age 15 or something ridiculous. He loves physics and cares about his students. Sometimes asks random questions on tests, but everything is open book/open notes, so who could complain. Very good guy :)

Very helpful one on one and in tutorials. Open book and notes exams. Exams are reused. Not a very good lecturer at all. Digresses very often. You will learn from the lectres, but it won't always be the course material. Thankfully, the text is easy to understand.

Wow, if you are failing this course, something is deinately wrong. Open book/open notes for the exams, and assignments are a breeze. In the class room hes boring beyond belief and likes to tell stories, but if you get help one on one he makes things a lot clearer. Easy science credit

i absolutely love the man, although he can't teach very well, its not good if you never took physics in high school. however he is brilliant, and wants everyone to do good, and tries his best to make the marks as high as possible! all open book exams and he recycles exams

Oh Lord...this was a class I'm more than glad I'm finished. Nicest guy you're ever going to meet...except that he can't teach. I had to teach myself the course. His examples are unclear, it's all theory. But he'll do anything to make your mark higher.

You'll never find a nicer, more approachable prof. He's really unclear, though. I can't understand anything that's going on. You'll learn the course by yourself. Exams are open book, though. He's really a nice guy.
