Run far, far away. I really wish I hadn't ignored the negative comments on here! The two below me are right, he does curve, and all he wants is you to do os write EXACTLY what HE wants. There is no extraneous thought involved. He actually penalizes you for it. I don't feel like I learned that much, and class was sometimes unbearable to sit through.

Class consists of Six 5 page papers. They are not difficult but can be time consuming. To do well in the course you need to write the papers the way he wants it. If you pay attention to the comments on your first few papers (class average was a 65) and make improvements on the remainder of the papers you will get an A with the curve.

Nice guy, some of the films are interesting but not all. It gets easier as the the class goes on. You are always wrong no matter what but if you don't care and you just sit there it doesn't matter. He does curve too. My average was an 85 on all the papers and I got an A in the class.

whatever you do: DO NOT GET THIS PROFESSOR. Taking his class was the biggest mistake I made this semester. He is so difficult, and very very unfair. I consider myself a good student and I will be *lucky* to pass! Everyone in my class is doing horribly, and we try so hard!!!!
