Comment:
Sorenson's lectures were disjointed and often very confusing. His slides were difficult to follow and often did not explain the concepts so if you did not write down everything he said it was difficult to study for the exam. Despite difficult lectures, his exam was very easy and required understanding of only the basic concepts.

He covers one chapter in 3-4 weeks, so the class can become boring. He loves birds and uses many examples of different birds to teach the lesson. The material isn't difficult but since it's all on one topic the class can seem to drag. His tests also did have some very detailed questions that were brushed over, but just study the ppts.

Very straightforward professor. He teaches the material as it is, so just pay attention, take notes, pay attention to examples as they tend to show up on the exam, and you'll be fine. Preferable over Professor Spilios and Professor Schneider.

Comment:
The material is easy. He only covers one chapter through 3 weeks. That being said, the test was easier than the others. The questions actually corresponded to the material he taught. He does not like to see students at his office hours and is extremely awkward. Avoid interacting with him if possible.

Excellent professor. He knows his material well and answers questions precisely and without hesitation unlike the other professors. His test is the most clear of the 4 professors that taught the BI107 course throughout the year but his powerpoints were not as good as Spilios's.

I like Professor Sorenson's section the best in BI107. He is really into birds but the experiments he teaches are actually interesting. And he is very specific and clear in class. Also, the reading he assigned was exactly one chapter so there was actually enough time to finish it, unlike the other professors.

Best of the BI 107 profs. Ofcourse attend lectures and pay attention. Study the powerpoints and you should be fine. He was very clear about what was expected on the test. His section was the best! Wish he taught BI 108.

Sorenson was by far the best Biology Professor of the semester. As long as you went to class and paid attention, you were fine. Primarily lecture based, tests are slightly tricky but straightforward. A lot of information to read but not a hard class at all.

Definitely the most interesting out of the BI107. He's witty and intelligent, one of the best professors I have had. His exam is very straightforward and is similar to a highschool bio course with ecology. No need to go crazy studying, but go to lecture (although chances are you won't miss too many with him lecturing).

Excellent teacher, really knows his stuff...a true Biologist when it concerns matters of the world! Honestly, just go to lecture and read the book, the test isn't any harder than that.

Really interesting lecturer. He made sure to make the topics interesting with his sense of humor and creativity. Went a little fast, but he needed to cover a lot of material. Test material came right from lectures.

My fav. lecturer in the 107 series, but his tests are fairly hard. Out of Wasserman, Traniello, and the other guy-- def. go to these lectures!

His lectures were a little interesting; however his test was ridiculous. Make sure you know every little detail about every definition and every example and then maybe you'll do alright.
