If you are not majoring in accounting and just need the credit, take it from him. That was my case. I just needed the credit. I rarely went because when I did, although I enjoyed his rants and stories, I did not learn a thing about accounting. He did not require a textbook. I bombed the tests, as did many other students but I ended up with a B-.

While he did not do a great job of explaining the subject, it was worth going to class each day to listen to his rants, practical knowledge, real world applications in life. I would take him again.

Plan on reading the book and teaching yourself. The only reason I ever went to class was to get the study guides. Half of the class was never seen except for on test days. I taught myself all of the material, I should have just taken it online. I dont feel like I learned anything

I took this class online.I did not learn anything in this class. You can seriously Google everything. This is an important class and i regret taking this because i have no knowledge about this subject. Take it from someone else if you want to learn.

I took his online class and it was not the easiest class, but I procrastinated till the last month of class because there is no homework due there is only 3 tests and that is all you get graded on. Make sure you dont procrastinate and you can get a really good grade. Tests were not super hard but do know your stuff. Tests are not timed tha's a +.

He is by far the best accounting teacher by far in the department. There have been complaints about his teaching style because he applies real world experience. I learned more about business and the application of accounting than both smiths and professor Johnson combined.

I took his class online. Your entire grade is based on 3 tests that you can take anytime throughout the semester. I thought I did decent on the tests, but it turned out my average for all 3 was 48%. Guess everyone else didn't do so hot either because I managed to get a B- in a class I was positive I was going to fail!

Best accounting teacher ever! Don't take accounting from Teeter! Stemkoski will challenge you to look beyond accounting and academics. If you want real world, take Stemkoski. He doesn't make you buy a book. He offers legit engaged learning opportunities. He will always respond to your questions and concerns.

Took this online- the whole class is based on three tests, which he grades on a curve. I did horribly on the tests and still got a passing grade!

If you will ever need to know anything about accounting, this is the wrong class for you. You will learn next to nothing. If you are a business major who has to take accounting, it is an easy class. Just make sure you take the same professor for all your accounting classes, or you will be lost when it comes to do actually do some accounting.

No question the worst teacher I've ever had and I'm not picky. This guy is not really not concerned with accounting. He just loves someone to complain to. Never really teaches anything useful for other accounting classes. Waste of time.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS FROM HIM IF YOU WANT TO LEARN. He doesn't fufill his job descript. Doesn't prepare a lesson just rants about something that bugs him recently. How he got a job as a teacher is beyond me. Doesn't have a CLUE about the "real life" he always talks about. Because if he did he would do what he is paid to do with our $ and teach.

No hand holding here. You are responsible for your own learning--like in real life. He doesn't cover everything, but what he does cover in class is very clear. His added insights and focus on business as far as communications, human dynamics, and out of the box thinking was helpful--we need a balance. He offers contrast. Participation is key!

I went to class everytime hoping to learn something. You have to teach yourself if you want to learn anything. Very arrogant, Rob Mathis was the main subject. best Stemmer quote? "Best day of my life was 9/11." from a New Yorker this is the most shocking. He shared this in all of his classes, so it wasn't just a slip of the tongue. Horrible human.

He's the worst accounting professor. His love for himself/arrogance gets in the way of teaching. He talks about his personal business rather than teaching you. His class is a big waste of time. I now have to go back and teach myself what he didn't teach me. If you are interested in the stock market, and hearing him BSing all class he's your guy.
