Comment:

Took Modern History with Swanson. Don't take the hour and 20 min class because it can get very boring, but he is a very easy teacher. Swanson just lectures a lot, but you do learn things you never knew. You do have to write weekly blogs, but overall it's an easy class. So far we've only done one huge paper and it was easy.

Had him for New England - so easy. We look at google maps of old builings. We've had only one paper so far (4 weeks left of semester). He is so sweet and loves what he's talking about, but sometimes it's a bit boring. Try to participate and he will love you.

I love Professor Swanson. He's really friendly, a really good teacher, fairly easy grader, and doesn't give too many assignments or too hard of reading. The class may be boring if the majority of students do not participate in discussions or respond to his questions. In Urban America, we got to watch Dogtown and Z-Boys. Awesome. Take him.

His classes are interesting with a lot of new ideas presented in a witty manner. If you pay attention in class, it can be fun. Or you can sulk in your chair and lose an opportunity to benefit from a very wise man's lectures. I recommend his classes very much. Read the book and have fun!

no book: you print everything yourself. go through a lot of ink but you can print in gsb for free so it doesnt matter. not many assignments to hand in: 2 papers, and take home midterm and final. it's a little boring, seems to go by slow, but he's a nice guy

He's a nice guy and definetly means well, if he wasnt my teacher i would say hes a cool, however, his class is ridiculous and it is impossible to know what you're supposed to do, he really needs to figure out a rubric, and stick to it, cause you have no chance of understanding the class the way he is
