He can be rude without seeming it. He is a tough grader and only grades upon perfection and not on performance of your skill level. You will have homework every class taking 1-3 hours. If you are a non drawing based major or not a great drawer the best you can do is a C-.

Seriously one of the best professors I've ever had. He knows his stuff, and will direct you to other artists to study that will compliment and expand your style and interests. If you want to be coddled and told you're a talented and unique sunflower, don't take his class. If you want to improve and you really appreciate the craft, take his class.

Voors is a nice guy. I truly think he means well. He can sometimes come across as rude. Encourages you to view other art work ALL THE TIME. If you work hard and do your best and follow instructions you are fine. If he doesnt like you, might as well drop. Had him for figure drawing as well.. If you listen you will pass. I am making a B.

Has a stealthy kind of rudeness I've never been faced with before. Dismissive of work outside his comfort zone. Rigid with due dates even though he shaves an hour off a work day with an art history lecture. Encourages you to partake in discussion but seems threatened by other's opinions. If he doesn't like you, you will never get a fair grade.

I second the comment below. If he doesn't like your work for some reason, and if you don't change it to his way, there's no way you're getting an A. It's so frustrating to argue with him, because he doesn't make sense! If you're really into painting, DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!

This teacher is really harsh. It is really true that if he doesn't like your work, then you will be lucky to get anything more than a C. Voors isn't a very creative teacher at any level of Figure Drawing. He doesn't have any room for expression. He might speak about it, but he has no clue.
