Mr. Walsh's Intro to Law(PLSC 385) class was interesting. I got an A-. He will expect you to do your readings and participate in discussions. Once he dismissed class early because people wouldn't participate. But don't count on him to help you outside of class. I tried contacting him twice for law school letters of recommendation and was ignored.

Two take home exams, a supreme court oral argument, an 8-12 page supreme court opinion, and an in-class final exam. This class requires a lot of time and effort, but it is interesting. Walsh has a short temper, though. He hates when no one participates and threatens to call names from the roster (he never actually does though).

Prof. Walsh is a pretty great professor. He works as a lawyer for his job so he has a lot to say about how to apply the subject and gives a lot of advice for those thinking of heading off to law school. Not the easiest class, good bit of reading, two exams + the final, a mock supreme court presentation and a final paper, but worth it.

Walsh is hilarious, and his class is perfect for those planning on going to law school It requires a lot of independence as far as the workload, but if you're willing to put in the work you'll get a lot out of the class. He has a lot of funny anecdotes that really help you understand the material. Take this class!

Walsh is an awesome professor, and the course doesn't require a great deal of work. That being said, if you don't do the work you will receive a bad grade. This is the lowest grade I have gotten in a poli sci class, and I had to study to get it.

Professor Walsh is a great teacher. He is so funny and really gets you interested in the material. The class is hard, and there is a lot of work involved, but he is one of the best teachers at loyola.

This class is extremely challenging and really tests your knowledge and comprehension of the material. He's less interested in whether you know the material and more in whether or not you know how to apply it. The good news is that he's an excellent teacher and explains the material so that it makes sense. Read, go to class, you'll do fine.

Awesome teacher. Did not do as well as I wanted to, but you get what you put into it in his class. This class is not easy but well worth it if you want a real pre-law course. Judging from previous post on him, he has improved his communications with students. The class is still not structured like a normal undergrad class. Like law-take his class.

Very straight forward guy if you want to go to law school, take this class. will filter the weak students from the strong. You read legal opinions and write on them, at the end, for the final, you can use your book, but be aware of almost all the cases and use them to answer a question. use the most applicable ones and write with perfect grammar.

If you are hinting at going to law school this is a must take. Walsh is as good as they get. He is a no BS teacher who will give it to you straight without sugarcoating it. He will teach you to brief well, write legal opinions well, and think like a future lawyer. The class is not an easy A. Its Law School Light basically. Up to the challenge?

Walsh is terrible; gives no structure for assignments and then grades you very hard according to what he thinks you should have done--even though he never tells you what to do in the first place!! Do not take him!! Even if you are a good student, he will kill your GPA!

I am taking professor Walsh for Constitutional Criminal law. If you want to be a lawyer and feel what it is like to work like a lawyer, you must take him. The people who say he is hard is because they prob do not do the readings nor do they know how to write, which are 2 key characteristics of a lawyer. Walsh is a corporate lawyer. man up.
