I have Dr. Waters for Modern Poetry and he is fantastic, really knows his stuff. He will teach you things about poetry and the poets that you never would have thought of. It is also really interesting to learn from a writer's perspective. The poetry he's written speaks volumes about the creative brilliance that Dr. Waters has.

One of the best english teachers I have ever had. I walked into this class knowing nothing and he really helped me a lot. He expects you to work hard but he will help you with whatever you need but you need to ask! Also come to every class, quizzes everyday!

A brilliant teacher. He is very honest and has high expectations of his students. He knows his stuff and he'll impart that knowledge to you as well as any teacher I've had, but if you are not confident in your writing ability, this class will be very difficult for you.

people that think he's mean are just bad writers. he's honest and tells you that you're bad because he doesn't want you to be dissillusioned about your future as a writer. if you do what he says and take the time to better your writting, you'll do good.

Don't believe everything you read. Dr. Waters is one of the better Professors on campus. I never found him to be mean, or oddly harsh. There was a quiz everyday, but all you had to do was read to be prepared. I enjoyed the class, even at 8 in the morn.
