Overall he's easily the best teach I've had. He knows every aspect of what he is teaching and it enables you to be excited about the content. He is extremely difficult, so expect many hours of homework. The knowledge you gain from him will stick with you for a long time. Just keep in mind that Scheme is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

By far the best CS profsesor on campus. Very interesting, and very helpful. Don't get me wrong, the class won't be easy, but you WILL LEARN SOMETHING... and you'll enjoy it. I'm a junior and I comfortably say Dr Wick is the best professor i've ever had.

I've had him for a number of CS classes and regret I wasn't able to have him for more of them. Extremely intelligent and has very energetic, interesting, funny lectures. Assignments are hard, but you get a lot out of them if you put the time and effort into doing them. I'll sum him up in 3 words....Best.Prof.Ever!

Dr. Wick is honestly the best teacher I have ever had. He has energetic lectures and interesting assignements. While the assignments are usually very hard, they are all creative ideas that you will actually enjoy working on; not the monotonous crap some teachers assign. You will learn a TON from this professor, dont let the difficulty scare you.

If you try, there isn't a single other professor that you will feel you learned as much from. Tests and homework is hard, but everything is curved and he does a good job of finding out exactly how much a person learned. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. If you aren't affraid of a little work and really want to learn, take one of his classes.

Does profess as well as any professor I've ever known (a pool of 32.) Does present in an interesting, organized, (very very) energetic and sometimes creative way. Does listen to students. Does confuse with an obfuscated grading scale. Does desire "does" at start of sentences. Does specialize in AI. Does like Diet Coke. Does golf. Very respectful.

Prof. Wick is an excellent prof. He really explains with full enthusiasm and seems to enjoy every aspect of his job. I've never had someone like him and it's quite refreshing. It would be great if more profs were like Prof. Wick. If you need to take CS 170, don't dred it, be happy because Prof Wick will get you on the right track with Maple.

Excellent teacher. Very difficult class, but it's an programming course. Difficulty is for all of the right reasons. Makes algorithms and data structures about as entertaining as possible, which isn't inherently much, but still a great job by him. Smart, VERY helpful.

Says lots of funny things. He hints when quizes are coming up. Not many points, so every point counts. Can easily loose points from silly mistakes on quizes and tests. Labs can take some time, but are usually not that difficult.
