I think he is probably the best professor to have for intro chemistry. His slides tend to be a bit content-heavy but he always clarifies with A LOT of examples. He also really wants to make sure that his students all understand the material and offers a lot of extra help in discussion. Highly recommend!

Awesome Teacher! Grading is very fair and he tries to make the class as interesting as possible with cool experiments. Always tries to make sure everyone understands what he's talking about. But grade is only based off of the 4 exams taken, so no extra work to support your grade. Advice though is if you've never taken Chem, don't stat with 211.

Best of all the chemistry professors! Goes over tons of examples and will allow you to ask as many questions as you want. You don't NEED to go to class, but you will probably fail if you don't. Book isn't necessary, but it is helpful to do the problems he recommends. Super helpful too!

He's a really nice guy and is very interested in helping students. If you don't get the material just ask, he'll stop the lecture to go through it! Textbook use is minimal but helps for some test questions. Exams are fairly easy, except the multiple choice take points off fast. If you've had prior chemistry experience, then class isn't too hard

If you expect to learn something and you don't want to be constantly asking yourself "wait, what?" while in class Zorn is not for you. He pretends he wants to know if everyone understands by saying "any questions?" But good luck asking one. If you do ask one he makes it seem like the most obvious thing ever. Very disappointed with him.

Explains everything in detail. If you dont get it, he is approachable and will explain everything again. Tests are challenging, but if you study your material, do questions at end of chapter and go to class, you will be okay. He makes it so you are master of your own grade. grading scale is fair, 71% is a B.

Very very great Chem professor, especially if you are a freshman and just getting used to college. He makes things very easy to understand and doesn't move on unless everyone understands the material. Extremely helpful as well!

i wasn't impressed. i dont know why everyone thinks he's so great. tests were too long...didn't have enough time to finish. he's not really good at explaining things...he doesn't give you a very good answer to questions.

He's a really great teacher. He doesn't require that you do the homework problems at the end of the chapters but he pulls exam questions from there. So if you use those problems to study, you'll do well on his exams.
