Professor Cao Danh makes all of her classes very enjoyable and helps your conversational French a lot by only speaking in French during the class. She expects you to participate and gives you helpful study guides before every exam.

I took her french film and culture class. It was easier than a middle school class. The only problem was that she never respected others views on social issues. She constantly voiced her marxist viewpoints, and once, I may have even seen s a little red book amoungst her piles of papers... haha

Extremely easy grader on the exam (only 1), and on the papers and there's only three of them, none have to be more than 5 pages. The films are interesting if you have an open mind, and she knows a lot about them and the culture of France.

This class was pretty good considering half of it was spent watching movies. There are no books, only some reading packets. She's a really nice person and pretty funny at times. Very passionate about French film and hopes you will be too, easy grader on papers and no final.

A funny/kooky professor. Class gets really boring by the end of the semester since you do the EXACT same thing everyday. The final is not cumulative and the HW is just from the workbook. If you have to take this class anyway you might as well take it with Cao Danh.

Dr. Cao Danh is a true professor. She grades fairly, treats you with respect, and goes the extra mile in class. She is fair with homework, once or twice a week (not a lot and isnt strict on deadlines, as long as you get it to her). Prepares you for each test. Tests have no surprises. Shows movies sometimes and brings treats to class on holidays.

one of the best lang profs here. engaging, clear, helpful; she makes learning the lang easy. also is fun, a little kooky but fun, give insight to french culture and ends class early if you get through the material! you can tell she wants her students to do well, and you will if you do the hw and participate in class

A really nice woman and can be funny at times. Class can be a little boring as it is basically the same everyday, but the tests aren't hard and the final is not cumulative. I think some poeple in my class had a problem with her, but only cause they weren't good at french. :P I thought she was a good teacher. Strict attendance.

Class is not that challenging, but you do have to study for exams and do the workbook work. Strict Attendence Policy, as with all language classes. Really good professor overall, very smart and willing to work with her students. I would definitely take another class from her. Very much enjoyed the semester. Easy quizzes- no cumulative final.

Taught just like 101, but speaks more French. She is a little crazy so that makes class a little more interesting. Assumes that the class has learned things that we haven't, but overall, she's good.
