I hadn't been in college for 10 years and was nervous stepping into the classroom again. Dr. Esancy was a great teacher and I really liked her teaching style. She gives you extra credit on tests, conducts optional problem sessions and is accessible outside class. However, this class isn't easy and I had to work really hard for my grade!

I loved her from day 1. But that doesnt mean I have not cried a lot thru this course. Chemistry is hard and a good grade does not come easy. I studied and I made use of her office hours- some weeks every single day. I appreciate how available she makes herself to her students!

She cares about her students. Very helpful. She is a really nice person. She is clear on what to study. Prepares you well for the test. Chemistry is tough and requires a lot of work. A lot of the material is boring and overly detailed. She is a tough grader. You have to work very hard in her class.

This woman was not clear on anything she said. You have a question? You might as well look it up yourself because she isn't going to help you. Makes you memorized a bunch of stuff at the beginning of the semester and never uses it again until the exam. No reviews and no extra credit.

She's a sweetheart, I thought I was going to get a C in the class but she gave me a B. This class is hard. I spent many hours in study groups preparing for tests. She never misses a class, & if you do, make sure to get the notes from someone or your lost. She's going to make you work your butt off for it. Beware if you're taking in a big load!

Great Teacher! She is very helpful, easy to understand. She provides many tools online to help with studying, she gives quizzes for extra practice. Her tests are hard and sometimes tricky. There is no extra credit, but, if you put in the effort, you can pass her class. Don't take with full load of classes, you won't have time to prepare.

I was a student that hadn't taken any chemistry classes for about three years, in junior year high school, the class was very much like an essay. Her teaching techniques are confusing to me. She stays on the subject for rounding decimals for about 15 min which to me is pretty long. I just print off the PowerPoint and change anything she says.

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!! I LOVE her. She is tough, but fair. You have to come to class, study, and do homework, but this is Chemistry- it's a tough subject. She is regularly sitting in the hallway tutoring students who are having trouble. Gives very clear and step-by-step solutions to all problems. She also makes the rules clear on day one.

She is FABULOUS teacher, knows what she is doing, yes you have to work your as* off, but she gives notes, great lecture and practice sets, that are very similar to the test. She always gives 6-20 bonus points opportunity, not picky on lab reports. So as long as you come to class, take notes, and do practice sets, you'll get an A.

the best teacher you can wish for...No tricky questions...if you know material you will pass with an A...Very friendly and always ready to help...Could be a hard class for someone who does not do practice sets she gives you...Gives extra credit on 3 tests out of 5...one test online...Start loving chemistry after her class:)

DO NOT TAKE CHEM WITH THIS TEACHER. She was literally awful. Assigns ridiculous online work that is only worth 10% of your grade and 5 tests worth 70%, tests are nothing like what is covered in class. If you don't have a job and only plan to take this class, you might be able to get a B. No extra credit/curves. Her expectations are out of control.

Where do these reviews come from? wake up, people! she is ridiculous! I've had 4 different chemistry teachers and she is clearly the worst one. No extra credits, homework, quizzes or curves. Stay away! She is mean, unclear and demanding...
