Comment:

Prof. Kelly is a very knowledgeable professor and I learned a lot in this course. The only thing I didn't like was that she rarely involved her students, meaning she never asked questions and just lectured the entire time. This is the only class I've ever been in where no one talked. Kinda sad atmosphere because of that, but otherwise, she's great.

This is the 3rd semester I have taken this professor, and she is amazing! Her lectures are somewhat unorthodox but she makes sure she gets the subject through. She is HUGE with APA style with a few paper but when it comes to tests she posts the EXACT tests prior to the test so you will be able to study the exact test before hand

Professor Kelly is a very tough grader which is kind of a challenge, she wants proper grammar and APA format. Her online courses are so organized I never had a problem with submitting work and knowing when things are due. She does give a lot of assignments and papers but that helped understand the material. Her quizzes are timed which can be hard.

The work wasn't too hard, the hardest part was her grading. I took the class online for the summer, and she's terrible for grading. She nit picks grammar and how you type out your assignment to be exactly how she wants. If there's multiple ways to phrase something and you use the correct term but not the one she wants, she'll doc you points.

Reference picky however, she puts right in the syllabus what she expects and also gives you multiple documents with examples. Timed quiz every week, a short assignment, and a midterm and final which aren't timed, and also a book review. Great professor! I learned so much from her.

Dont buy the textbook, you don't need it. She is a really great teacher. People say she talks too fast ??? I dont think she does. She is very clear and writes the important parts of her lecture on the board so you can copy it down. Lets you see all the multiple choice and essay questions for tests ahead of time, so memorize them and it's an easy A.

Don't take her class.. leturces are unclear and non relevant. Tests are extremely hard.. you have to memorize everything long essay form questions.. reading the book would do more justice than going to her class and listening to her make no sense of the lecture .her examples are completely irrelevant and she talks way to fast. Good luck

I took Abnormal Psych with her online. She is very concerned with APA format and takes a lot of points off for doing it incorrectly. Since I had a hard time doing APA myself I used the websites where you put in information & it creates it for you. Still wrong. She does not explain what is wrong with it, just refers you to the course materials.

The work load is light, but she is a very tough grader. She focuses more on APA style referencing and grammar and punctuation, than on what you actually write. Everything needs to be referenced, even if it's your own words. This was the toughest class I've taken so far and I'm almost done with my degree. Other than that, the class was interesting.

Did not like that everything is due on different days. She doesn't post when things are do you have to get it from the syllabus so keep it close. Also I did not like the fact that the tests are timed. You are allowed to take them twice but the grade is a combination of both. She will not tell you what you got wrong either.

I took an online abnormal psychology with this professor. I found her to be very nit-picky. In other words, she wanted you to follow her directions EXACTLY. I felt that it did not matter to her if you learned the material, the most important thing was doing things exactly like she wanted them. Felt like she did not want students to succeed.

Professor was very nice and organized. But she does base her class off of her notes and in-class exercises, attendance is important. Exams are important and based a lot off of her notes and essays have very specific grading. Bought the book but unfortunately never really used it. Overall, pretty good class, professor has good experience.

Michelle is a great professor, and really knows her stuff. Your notes should be a copy of what she writes on the board. Exams are easy, but not unless you have her exact notes. exams are very precise! One essay, in which she grades hard. Overall, she was a great professor, but makes you work for your grade.

I took Michelle Kelly for Child Development. Try to attend all of her classes; she gives a lot of notes every class. You need to take good notes in order to pass her course. She puts a study guide on elearning for each exam, and the same exact questions are on the test. I would recommend her if you need to take this course!

If you miss class you will NOT pass. Her tests are extremely difficult. For an elective course, it is just way too much work. Electives are supposed to be fun! For some odd reason, everything has to be in APA format. She makes you buy the book but you never use it. Overall, it was an interesting semester but I'll never take her again.
