Dr. Berheide is great! He tells a bunch of stories (sometimes on topic, sometimes off) that make class worthwhile. Super lenient on attendance in intro classes, but don't miss lectures too much. He quizzes on them and doesn't usually base them off the textbook. Overall, really laid back and one of the smartest people I've ever met.

Berheide is one of the most entertaining professors you will ever have a class with. He is VERY intelligent and definitely knows his stuff. If you want a good laugh while learning politics, Berheide is your man!

He's a very smart professor. He doesn't solve people's problem, but he helps us to figure out how to solve our problems. I highly recommend him for those who want to learn critical thinking. He's also very open to new ideas, argument and questions. One thing to keep in mind is he wants your brain to work, so inactive learning might not be enough.

I loved this class. His material is difficult in nature, but he presents it well. He is reasonable about his quizzes and enlists capable TAs. Very approachable in and outside of class, and HILARIOUS.

Without a doubt one of the smartest people I have ever met. Though he killed my faith in Carl Sagan by telling me that he was apparently a douchbag in person, I learned more 1 science class that I have learned in the previous 10 years.

I took this class as a senior in high school. Berheide's teaching method is true to the liberal arts and has helped me in Philosophy, English, and even Humanities courses. You will learn a lot, especially about stuff not directly related to political science. It was a fantastic class and Berheide is an amazing teacher.

Mike Berheide is so funny! He definitely has an enthusiasm for Natural Science even though it is out of his "field". Sometimes it is a little too much, but mostly positive. Tests are pretty HARD, but plenty of other things to balance out your grade.

I had Berheide for entry level PSC and was his TA for two years until he went on sabbatical. Very funny and made an entry level class more interesting than not. His statistics class was a little more trying! Thank God that ended with a passing grade since it was required! Thank you Dr. Berheide!!!
