Only headed on 5 exams. He makes it clear what questions he will ask on the exams. If you show up to class and participate he's more willing to help you out during exams. Very compassionate teacher obviously knows and loves the material.

TAKE HIS CLASS, he is one of the best professors you may ever have. There are only 5 quizzes for the course and he creates his own textbook/lecture notes, which is actually enjoyable to read because it isn't super formal. If you talk with him, he will find a way to help you with a quiz retake or any course material. He is funny, strict, but caring!

This professor is great. He explains the course material really well and does not require a textbook. He doesn't take attendance, but he lectures from his notes, so if you're not in class, then it is hard to pass. He grades a little harshly, but only because he wants short informative answers so he knows you know the concepts.

5 grades for the entire semester and theyre all quizzes, drops the lowest one. Will give you his notes instead of book. No computers in class. Class is lecture-based, knows his stuff and will tell you what will be on the quiz so going to class is best, doesnt take attendance. Ask him questions before the quizzes youll be fine! Hes awesome.

The only thing I remember about his lectures is one day he told us that he could paint his ass blue walk around on his hands and scream about the evils of sour cream and he wouldn't get fired so no I still don't understand macro.

If you want to genuinely learn the subject matter, take him; but he will make you work for it. There are 5 comprehensive tests throughout the semester, each worth 20% of your grade. The lowest test is dropped if you take all five tests and get at least a 60% on the final. All tests are short answer. You will have to put in A LOT of study time

Hes a very helpful professor when it comes to understanding a subject . attendance isnt mandatory but i suggest not missing a class since his lectures are very helpful in understanding the material

Knows his stuff. His class can be seen as more difficult if you do not do the reading. You do not have to buy a textbook as he provides an online pdf one for you. If you attend every class, you will be fine. He doesn't take attendance but still attend every class. Also, you will have a quiz every other week, but there is no final exam!

I participated almost everyday in class just by answering easy questions and met with him a few times outside of class and he really helped with my final grade. Definitely one of the nicest professors I have ever met. If you like to hear stories from professors he has thousands of fun and interesting stories he will tell you about. Overall great.

Lectures can be dull at times. Quizzes every other week and he offers extra credit on them. He'll drop the lowest quiz grade, but only if you take every one. He gives an opportunity to recover lost points if you show you understand the material. Pay attention, take notes, and read ahead if you want to pass. Overall, he's pretty great.

Quizzes every other week with multiple extra credit points. Lectures are a bit dry but if you take notes and read ahead like he says, you will pass the class with an A. Drops lowest quiz score if you take all of them. Great Professor overall.

He seemed to be a really great guy, yet his grading was crap. His teacher aid's graded for him and they often failed 34 of my class. Students would have to go up to Mike and confront him to get a fair chance to fix their ruined tests. He on average would regrade you adding 15 points. It was not worth arguing an "F" that should have been an "B"

Read and show up its principals so. The tests are written so you can't fake the class but the blanks are definitions right from the book so just read and show up you'll be golden.

He's the chair of the economic department at UT so you know he knows his stuff. Uses real world examples that are interesting to students. Test aren't really hard as long as you have some type of understanding of the material. He might be the best professor there.
