His lectures are more opinionated relating to his experience than factual. No consistency. U must read book to prepare for 4 exams. He writes own exam day before. not helpful for disabled student. 3 article critiques 3 pages each. Book review group project. As others have stated u must speak during lectures or he will assign paper to write or quiz.

I bought the book and we hardly used it but towards the end of the semester we used it. Exams are tricky so make sure you write down his notes. Also understand the POINT he is making in his stories and examples. He is a great guy, does a lot for you and tries to make it apparent for you to get what you are reading or writing.

Awesome! Professor who truly teaches college level thinking material. Makes class so interesting and everyone feels comfortable speaking out and giving their own opinions. Discuss relevant and contraversial topics that open your mind and learn other prospectives. Take him even if you don't have to he is fabulous! Best class i have taken in college.

This guy is hilarious. I loved his class. This is the one class that I would hate to have to miss. He makes the topic SO interesting and his discussions are real-world related so they keep you on top of your game in the class. A few papers to write, very simple and extra credit if you want it too. Definitely take this guy...

GO TO EVERY CLASS! Gives you 5 points to your final grade if you do! Very fair and makes this class REALLY interesting. Classes are basically open debate for full class period and very little lecture so keep up with work yourself. Great for the mature college student (If immature, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS)

Go to class, do ALL your work on time. No note taking is required for this class, he hands out notes at the beginning, his tests are multiple choice and not too tricky. He changed the syllabus to make it easier not more work, he enjoys small, mature classes, big classes and he will just plug away. His class on Deviancy was intersting.

Go to class + read/comprehend + do your assignments ON TIME = an A. The textbook will be your friend because his lectures won't be sufficient. Does not hold his tongue. I personally just took notes (vocabulary) on my reading and then in class I just listened w/o taking notes. Apply the formula above and there is a good chance you'll get an A.
