I loved him! He's so cute! He tells stories all class about when he was a teacher, and things he encountered. He really gives everyone an opportunity to succeed and is interested in everyones opinions more than anything. Very flexible, however you MUST be in class the day an assignment is due or you will get a 0.

Easy course. McGough however is very long-winded, tells a lot of stories, tries too hard to come off as the super nice guy but really he is super fake. The course is on professionalism but he will wear sneakers and jeans. If you have office hrs w/him he will leave you waiting 45 min. If you can I suggest taking another teacher. You'll learn more.

I find it interesting as I read these ratings, that you are all most likely education majors. You're grammar and spelling is horrendous! He may be a hot air balloon...but he understand and knows a great deal about the educational system, how it works and your future role in it. He is on target with his advice for how to land the job!

Dr. McGough is one of the great education professors at York College! He is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and caring. I took him for mini-mester Teaching Social Studies and it was a very laid back, non-stress free class :) Definitely recommend the class and him!

I worked for an A in his class, but by far this was the worse class I have ever taken. It was not only useless, but I found him to be prejudice and religiously biased. As head of the educational department the program has suffered greatly/ I do NOT feel that I have gotten my moneys worth nor have I received the education I thought I deserved.

I will agree that he has a few favorites, but he also does his best to give everyone the opportunity to succeed. Just listen to his stories, take good notes, do all assignements on time, and study the notes for the tests. You will do fine in his class if you so this.

Definately has his favorites. He does want all his students to succeed as many others have said, however for those who he does not appreciate it will be more difficult to please him. Word of advice: write everything down and memorize the notes. Always do the assignments, even when he says he is not going to collect them- HE DOES!

He does play favorites and likes to hear himself talk, but also wants to see students succed. Memorize his little sayings/stories/anedotes in Law and regurgitate them when you give your final presentation and you will get a perfect score. Don't put anymore research into it than that, it won't get you anywhere. Good networking resource.
