Mr. McMillan is a great teacher. I took Object Oriented Programming during the summer term. The class itself was not to difficult but the main thing is he knows his stuff and will work with you. I think the longest I had to wait for response to an email was an hour, even on weekends he responded within the hour. GREAT TEACHER.

Overall the teacher is good. It is the students who try and take a programming course not knowing what C++ is. Intro to comp science moves fairly quick but still covers most basics. If your only experience with a PC is checking email or facebook you WILL need to study. If you knew Android is linux based, you are way ahead of most users. easy class

better in person than online - leftovers from last session all over the moodle, scant feedback, does not keep up with promised schedules, forgot to post parts of lectures. bascially, HE understands everything about VB.NET so well he can't break it down and explain to newbies once it gets to the complicated parts.

I've had him for C++ Programming, Visual Basic.NET, and Adv Visual Basic.NET. I dropped C++ Programming, because it was so much to learn in that class and we were going through the material too fast. However, the other courses I Aced. Just trying will get you a passing grade in his courses.

He is a very brilliant teacher and has written several books on Visual Basic. In my course, there were no tests - just assignments (at first they were easy then became difficult). If you have trouble understanding abstract objects, you will have a difficult time in his programming classes.
