Comment:

I absolutely loved my drawing class with Mosher. Though doing the huge amount of small drawings outside of class was tough (Hint: Don't try to make fantastic masterpieces, I literally had my friend throw me random objects to draw quickly). You're feet will be sore from standing the whole class but your art will really improve.

Comment:

Mosher really knows his stuff when it comes to cartooncomic illustrations. He offers feedback when necessary and was always open to questions. His assignments were very interesting, allowing you to be creative with your own ideas. However, his lectures were very dry and sometimes pointless. He does require reading so you'll have to buy a book.

The first day of class, I was pretty sure Mosher was crazy. But, as it turns out, he is actually one of my favorite professors. He is super nice and really helpful. Wish I had him again next semester!

He's a little hard to hear because his voice is so soft but that's his only flaw as a teacher. He's very helpful with explaining to you what you need to improve on and the classes are quite fun. You get almost the whole class period to work on your drawing.

His voice is raspy...so when he talks its boring. However, his assignments are not too hard. Sometimes i didnt quite understand his expectations. Overall he was a good guy, he gives good criticism and wants you to do your best.

Pleasant, has passion for his art. Is helpful and patient, makes you strive to do better but doesn't make you feel stupid when learning new skills or making mistakes. Shares his many years of work as an artist so you know the value of what you can do with what he teaches you. I would take more classes from him for sure.

I love this guy! He really made me break through as an artist this semester. He's not a hard grader, and he is probably the art teacher I've learned the most from. Art opportunities outside of class are always something he talks about, and it's good that he does that! It got me a cardinal sins publication! He is very encouraging.

mosher is a really nice guy and you can tell he enjoys what he does. I was not too sure that I would like the class, but it turned out that he taught us a lot of new ways to draw. He does make you draw his style, and will mark you down if it isn't the way he likes it.

Only 3 all multiple choice tests and two in class writing assignments that are pretty easy. I'm glad I took it, although it was fairly simple I still learned some stuff. The only problem is he would shut off all the lights to show a tape or slides and I couldn't stay awake...

Great teacher! Tells you alot about art history and it is actually interesting. Be careful where you take the class. Theater seats get comfortable in the darkness of movies and his soft, scratchy voice doesn't help. It's not hard to understand him, just hard to stay awake...especially after a meal:)

I always feel like falling asleep in this class. It's not his fault, its those darn theater seats and the darkness. Covers all the material, knows a lot about it, stresses what will be tested to the point where you can almost guess what the questions will be. Very nice guy.

If you want to learn something take a mosher class. Hes very into art and he'll give as much as you take and then he try to give a little more. The best art teacher that is working at svsu. Hes from outer space but i guess thats good for art.

didn't learn a thing. he was so extremely boring and his tests were inconsistant with what we were told to study. he's very opinionated, so make sure u agree with every one of his views. stay far far away!!!
