Yes he can be disorganized & doesn't respond to emails but that's cause he works at 3 colleges so you guys gotta understand. He's funny&cool. All I did was go to class everyday, do every single homework, take all the exams (i got all C's), do as much extra credit as you can, then you'll pass with an A. If he don't like you then you might get a BC.

I really enjoyed this class. It was interesting and 3 hours flew by every Wednesday evening. His lectures flowed like stories and made studying ASAME a blast. He really knows what he's talking about and you can tell he enjoys doing it. This teacher is very cool and laid back. I hope he comes back to COA. By far one of the coolest teachers I've had.

Great class and teacher for a 3 hour evening class which can be boring but luckily, it was fun and interesting learning about Asian's history in the US. Great subject if you are interested in race relations and how Asians fit in as a minority group.

The class is interesting and the teacher keeps you stimulated with his sense of humor. The tests were fairly straightforward because of the study guide. There is alot of extra credit to improve your test grades. I did well on the class and got an A. We also have reviews before the exams which is very helpful. Just attend classes regularly.

I enjoyed the evening class. The teacher kept it interesting for a three hour evening class with lecture and some videos about Asian Americans. The midterm is not difficult if you study the terms on the study guide. There is also extra credit available. I would highly recommend the class to learn more about Asians in the US.

Mike is a good professor. The other reviews are true about him being unorthodox and unorganized. But in my opinion he made the subject engaging and taught in his unique way. He also doesn't require textbook and gives unlimited extra credit. You can do four extra credit events and have a C in the class but with your extra credit get an A. Easy!!!

He is extremely unorganized. Every class he dumps the contents of his bag onto the desk and it looks horrible, I am always afraid he would lose my work. I did all my work, attended every class, put all my effort into the work and still ended up with a B. Don't take this class if you want to get an A for doing all your work.

He's such a laid back professor. He's always in a good mood and makes jokes. No midterms or tests, we had 7 homework assignments, one from each chapter in the novel he requires. watched a bunch of films, which will appear on the final. Requires 2 asian american film reviews (only 2 pages) and any other films/cultural events = extra credit.

Parayno is awesome! He's laid back, but that doesn't mean he doesn't take this class seriously. He's got great stories to share, and he really stresses a lot of points that will be on the test. Don't mess around when it comes to the tests, and do the extra-credit. Talk to him too! He's really cool!

Mr Parayno is a heart loving teacher. He is splendid at teaching and keeping the class entertained since day one. Would definitely recommend him to everyone!
