Dr. Porter is by far the best professor that I have had at LHUP so far. He is truly passionate about the field, and he encourages your free thinking and your own experience which is great in a graduate program. His flexibility is most helpful, and he is quick to answer any and all questions that you have about anything. The assignments are all fun.

Mike is awesome as a teacher! The course however is mostly online, you have to babysit your grades, you constantly email because they screw up the online portion, they dont communicate about your grades or assignments. Tests are hard, you feel like you know what youre doing until you see your grades. Overall hated this course.

I had him for an 8am lecture which sounds like torture but he made it very fun by being loud, telling jokes and jumping round! he really made the 8AM class bearable!!! super nice guy and always willing to help out or repeat or go over something if you missed it.

He is funny and very helpful. Just attend class and take notes and highlight what he spends a lot of time on. Jokes to lighten up tests and is an all around nice guy. Very knowledgeable teacher.

Great professor! Very friendly and helpful. He simplifies things so that it's easier to digest. I had him for Anatomy and Physiology 1 and I wish I could've had him for Anatomy and Physiology 2. Study from the slides and reference an anatomy book to get a better understanding.

There is no mandatory attendance, all he does is go over simple powerpoints. If you had this class in high school there is no reason to go to any classes except 2 or 3 before the exam where he covers everything. Def is one of the easiest profs on campus

Very hard class, but he's an excellent teacher. I'm now working as an exercise physiologist and I can't tell you how many times I think back to things he's said that help me out with my work! You will learn a lot!!
