I personally didn't like Miller, or the way his class was structured. I definitely slacked off in this class, but the tests were too difficult. The average for each one was around 60 percent. With a little bit of work, you could pull a B. If you put in minimal work, like myself, a C is no trouble at all.

You have to go to class for the participation, there's usually some sort of quiz type thing or something you'll have to turn in. I didn't pay attention in class and just went for the participation. But then would read the chapters before the test. Easy to get a B. As you have to work harder for.

Miller is a great teacher and he's very funny. Make sure you don't slack off in the beginning and take detailed notes in class, and you shouldn't have trouble passing with at least a B.

One of my favorite classes. He's hilarious, makes Biology actually interesting to learn, and is great at teaching the material. If you pay attention to lectures and study the slides you should be good. Great professor overall.

Mill is a great guy, but this is a tough class. However, he does give you many different ways to bring your grade up. Show up to class, participate with your clicker, do well on the online quizzes (unlimited tries!!) and you will do fine. His exams are hard and the average is usually about a 60-65%.

Tests are somewhat hard, study and pay attention in class and you'll do ok. Quizzes are to be completed online before class starts, so make sure you have them done (unlimited tries, so easy grade!!). Funny teacher, good at answering emailsquestion. Not bad for a BIO class.

Biology is a hard subject. It requires a lot of memorization of terms, concepts and examples. A teacher can't really make this subject easy. Biology requires lots and lots of self-study. His online quizzes are helpful, needed are optional online problem sets per chapter (20 - 50 per chapter), left open the entire semester for better exam prep.

So much information was crammed into this class. You really needed to understand the ideas inside and out in order to be able to apply it. Tests were super hard, reading notes and the book just didn't cut it! He tries to be funny, but that is overshadowed by the fact most of the class had no idea what he was talking about.

Miller is very helpful in lectures and is always available to answer questions. The tests, however, are very hard. You have to start studying on day one in order to do well. The tests aren't basic definitions. They are all applying information into real world things. I thought I understood most of the lectures and failed most of the tests

Dr. Miller was a good professor. Expectations were clear but you really have to work for a good grade in the class. Attendance required for clicker questions. To do well, go to class, take good notes, participate with clickers, study his old exams, and go to SI if possible. It's not impossible to get the grade you want with a little extra work. :)

His powerpoints are confusing if you don't attend lecture which is not mandatory but recommended for participation clicker points. The tests are really confusing, its not a basic test at all, its more in depth and of specific examples... too much for an intro-bio class. You will pass if you do all the EC+pilot quizzes though.

Mill Miller is by far my favorite professor. Material is tough but he explains everything well and is very helpful. Absloutly hilarous and doesn't just present his information, he TEACHES his information. Respects his students, appreciates his students, and just deserves a slow clap at the end of each day.

Attendance was not mandatory, but if you wanted to get graded for the clicker questions you had to show up and have studied before class to answer the questions. Mill is a great guy, he's fun and wants his students to succeed. He can make you laugh too. Class was the hardest I've taken, but I've learned I'm not the science person I thought I was.

He is a great guy. I loved him as a person but not so much as a professor. I never knew what was going on. It didn't matter what I did to study I never got anything better than a 66. His test were hard and poorly worded. I am horrible in BIO but if you like biology and understand it then I would recommend him! MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS HIS CLASS

Great guy honestly biology isn't my best subject so I probably would have liked him more if he taught something else but he is a great teacher I learned a lot and he provides a lot of resources to help you succeed. Attendance isn't technically mandatory but daily clicker grades account for that.

THE BEST! He knows his stuff which can be a blessing & a curse. Tests are average but he curves. Clicker questions are basically the test questions, read powerpoints. He knows how to make the class fun but be prepared for him to talk from beginning to end. Quizzes are cake. No homework. Study for tests from powepoints and you're good.

I read his syllabus and the way he worded everything, I assumed he was going to be the toughest professor ever. WRONG. He is the most helpful professor I have. Unlike other profs, he actually TEACHES his lessons rather than reads the power point. He is very helpful. His tests can be tough, but his curve is ridiculous. Easy A, and I'm learning

His lectures are crammed with information from the start of class to the very end. I would highly recommend reading the chapter before going to lecture. I rarely read my books but I probably read that Bio book 3 times before each exam and still pulled D's. I got a B after the ridiculous curve. If you have an understanding of bio it would be easier.
