Comment:

Mimi is a great professor! Cares about her students success, and definitely keeps things interesting! Attendance matters its worth points! You get the best 3 of 4 assignments. These consist of 2 exams and 2 essays. Also theres random pop quizzes so read the assigned material. The only thing I didnt like is that no grades were posted on canvas.

She doesnt put any grades up online so you have to go to her and ask what your grade is. Her tests and essay prompts are really broad. I recorded her review lectures because she goes through everything really fast. There was no final. Extra credit is built into the class

She's fun and outgoing and cares a lot about the subjects that she teaches. But as time went on, she was rude to us, showed up late constantly, and if you had a different opinion on something than her, she would put you down and shut you up. I would never recommend taking her class. I honestly dreaded coming to class. NEVER gives prompts for papers

I LOVED Professor Marinucci's class! I took her for philosophy 211 and she was hilarious. Her class is super easy too. Her class has 3 papers 3 tests. No study guides but you don't need it. She summarizes the readings in her lectures. So if you listen to her lectures you'll do fine on the exams. I would DEFINITELY recommend her!!

Class was super easy, you just have to read the book and try to summarize it weekly. She was a pretty good teacher, laid back and allowed almost exclusively group work (in addition to our weekly papers). She allows so many revisions with heavy feedback that getting a 4.0 is super easy. :)

Took her online Women's Issues class. Her instructions were very clear, her lecture videos were kept short and sweet, and the material was really really interesting. She gave very clear feedback and was a very fair grader. I really enjoyed her class and I hope to take more classes with her again in the future.

Mimi is hilarious and if you go to class she explains everything you were supposed to read. We had essays and exams. She grades the exams a lot harder than the essays but it's still a pretty easy class. I would take another class with her.

Interesting class, but was made harder than it had to be by mimi. She is very easily distracted and won't cover relevant course material. Horrible at answering questions by running around your question for 20 minutes then finally still not answering the question. If possible try not to take a class with her.

Took a LGBT class from her and it ended up being more like philosophy than anything. Hard grader, and her attempts at clarifying something seem to add more confusion than help, is sometimes nice but tends to "go off" randomly on people with little reason. She was just not my cup of tea at all!!

This class was way over my head even with a decent background in women's studies and philosophy. Grade based entirely on 5 papers, which sucks for me b/c I'm better on tests than papers and group discussion. And she loves her groups discussions! It felt like she wasn't even teaching the class and we had to trudge thru the books ourselves.

Mimi is rad. She cares about her students and encourages independant thinking. Class discussions are well facilitated and insightful. Her expectations are clear for the papers, she gives great feedback, and wants students to succeed.
