For this to be a visual imagination class, Ming is super objective in how she grades which is not really legitimate considering it's an art class. She is a really tough grader and is pretty condescending during class. Attendance is mandatory and she'll call you out if you aren't there. 0/10 would not take her again.

This course was very challenging for a student who has never had any technical experience at the scene shop, and directions were not always clear. However, grasping concepts of the content has helped me become more precise in patterning and drawing. The instructor was effective in helping me learn.

Very knowledgeable and always asking f anyone needed more help or further explanation. The only improvement I can suggest is for the midterm exam. For me it was a very lengthly process which took me over two hours to complete. Perhaps divide this exam into two sections to be done for two class periods.

Professor Chen is very thorough in her instruction and examples. Her syllabus and class is organized and flows nicely throughout the semester. She is quick to point out where the student needs to improve and gives us time to do so. This was my favorite class, it was such a pleasure to attend.

Great person- not a great teacher. Projects are easy but test are all trick questions. Does not budge on grades. Hard to understand. Instructions are never clear. Does not respond to emails. No final- only one test. Projects you can BS and make A's. She literally wrote the textbook (with lots of grammatical errors may I add)
