Comment:
Grades were only based off of lab reports and lab practicals . You are allowed to use your lab manual and notes during the practicals but they are still fairly tough. The assignments and practicals are curved but that goes to show how difficult the class is. When asking him a question his response is often what he already said just louder.

Dr. Huang ONLY uses problems on quizzes and tests that were on the homework, but the hw is hard. Expect a quiz every chapter. Class has a great grading scale (85% A - 60% C), and he will curve the class average to 68% (C+). This class is hard. Do the homework and get help from him to pass. He drops your lowest exam and quizzes as well.

one of the hardest classes ive ever taken, you cant understand him whatsoever and when you ask questions he makes you feel super dumb. even if you get the question correct almost no partial credit and hes never wrong. tests and quizzes have absolutely zero to do with lecture content. he is the worst teacher ive ever had to deal with.

Examples done in class are nothing like the hw and test questions are the hardest hw problems. Grades harshly when it comes to partial credit, expects you to do the problems his way or else it's wrong. When passing back exams, if you did bad there is a large chance he'll say so in front of the whole class. Do not take anything he teaches.

Grading scale is lowered (85% A - 60% C) Lectures define the basics of what you need to know, but the homework is where test questions are pulled. Homework is always a lot tougher than the problems done in class, which makes tests very difficult to do. If he notices that you are BS'ing a problem on a test, he will give you a 0, no partial credit

These classes were awful. The grading scale is already very wide (85% is an A) and half of my classes failed. The lectures are hard to understand and do not explain the concepts very well. He takes the hardest homework questions to use for the tests, and even the tutors in the library would try to work on them for an hour before giving up on them.

Only problem I ever had with Huang was when he writes on the board, he sometimes got pretty sloppy. Pay attention to the lectures, and do the homework. Exams are challenging and often long (Huang will often stay late if you need more time, sometimes upwards of an hour extra). His classes are fun, and he's more than happy to discuss recent events.

Arguably the worst physics professor at svsu. I cant understand how this is the chair of physics. If you are interested in passing the grade and actually learning something, do take the class with Dr Vannette. He is easier to understand and actually cares what he is teaching you. Do not waste your time and your gpa with this guy.

Dr. Huang is a very helpful professor. The pace of the class is very eased, as he is always asking people if they understand. The quizs and tests are all directly out of the homework, and all the notes, and solution manuals, are on Vspace.

The professor has a strong accent, but you do get used to it. His lectures were not the most useful. Simply doing the homework is the most helpful to do well in the class. His test and quizes were reasonable difficultly. The class structure is nice though; you get to drop your lowest quiz and lowest of 4 exams. No need to avoid this professor.

He doesn't explain things well at all. Bu the worst part about him is that he doesn't return tests and quizes for about three weeks. He's late for class, the questions on the tests aren't covered in class. The one good thing about him is that he does drop the grade scale a little to make up for the fact that people do bad in the class.

Lectures do not explain concepts comprehensibly. When you ask him to explain again, he explains the same way he did the first time. Office hours are useless; you will be told to review notes or read the book again. If they made sense the first time, students would not need to keep asking. Seems to think you are not studying if you have to ask quest

Huang is absolutely horrible as a teacher. He says he will give curve by the end of the semester, that is a lie, he usually give 1% of the curve, the test is very hard, even though you study of everything, there will always be something you can't figure out. He is bad!!!

Professor Huang is very nice and wants his students to do well. His class is from power point and I didn't buy the textbook. I still got an A. Make sure you study! Some of the multiple choice questions on tests were tricky. He grades on a curve.

I suggest you take this class if you WISH to FAIL! The worst teacher I have ever taken. Does not explain well nor care if you do well. Class average is usally 55-60%. He lowers the grade scale, but that should be a hint that most kids do bad. He is also really bad at responding to emails. His accent is sometimes difficult to understnad. Do not take

dont waste your money buying the book. Just go to class and take all the lecture notes. He really wants everyone to do good in the class and offers all the help you need. Can be unclear sometimes, but always asks "is that clear" in his funny accent. Gives a study guide that pretty much depicts the exam. Just make sure you study and go to class

Decent professor. Go to every class because you have to fill in the blanks on the notes that he posts online. His notes aren't all the clear either so its good to take notes on the sides of the pages to remember what he is talking about. Pay attention to things that he says over and over again. Sometimes you miss answers. Ask him for them later.

Ming-Tie is extremely nice and genuine; he wants everyone to succeed. Isn't always clear if you don't previously love physics, but it's a good class to take. I don't recommend buying the book because I never really used it. The exams questions come straight from the lecture notes and come as no surprise.
