Comment:
She gets sidetracked very easily, abandoning lesson plans and ignoring the syllabus. She doesn't explain assignments well, even when asked for clarification. She frequently made mistakes when teaching, forcing students to correct her or learn incorrectly. I learned nothing from this class. It wasn't challenging, but it was tedious and unnecessary.

She is very helpful. She is one of the most nice person and her class is very interesting. She will help on your research paper as much as you want until you get a clear topic and passion :)

This was an experimental research writing class that focused on service learning and beyond-the-books experience. While Prof. Collins didn't push us too far into rethinking modes of research the efforts to get us to expand our writing to incorporate more and better sources was invaluable.

Develops rapport in order to understand students concept and writing.Every student has his/hers writing style in which she encourage students to find it,learn it, and use English principles to express in writing.

She addresses students as though their in middle school, trying to learn the basics of the basics. What she teaches in class feels like common sense, but the way she grades is totally harsh. With that type of teaching, you're really just stuck learning from your mistakes because she won't really help you when you need clarification.

She is a nice person, but not the greatest teacher. Maybe, it's just chemistry between me and her, but I didn't understand what she was trying to do in the course. And sometimes, I felt ignored.

I thought she was a fine teacher. doesn't stand out that much but she tries to make her class interesting which is important for an english class. and for the guy who said she should retire, it might be that she "favoritizes" students who use real words.

Minnie was a good teacher. She truly wanted all of the students to participate and achieve the best they could. Made 101 an easy and at times, almost fun class. I would suggest her to other students.

Minnie needs to retire. She's uninspiring, slow and favoritizes certain students. This class was a waste of time.

In 8 weeks so far, I have learned NOTHING from her. She gives no midterms or finals, your grade will be determined by your personal evaluation at the end of the quarter. Also boring and she does little if any work herself. Quizes and seminars weekly.
