Show up to her lectures because test questions will be about stuff she talked about in class. She only has two tests and chapter assignments for your grade. 150 points for your chapter tests and 200 points for your tests. Do the book work, its easy you just do it and get 100% and the tests aren't bad if you show up. She's hilarious, too.

When she's in class, Mitzi can be a fabulous instructor that is well-versed, knowledgeable, and entertaining. My problem is this: we have 4 50-min class periods per week. Averaged throughout the semester she's probably taught less than 50% of our scheduled class periods. Sets double standards that are exceedingly frustrating.

She will tell you that you get extra credit, and raise your grade but then drop it in the matter of a day because she feels like it. Terrible in communication and does not know how to use her online gradebook, make sure to always triple check your grade because at the end of the semester it will be lower than you ever thought.

Mitzi is awesome! She makes class really interesting and does try to connect to students by hearing their experience that connects to her lectures. She is hilarious, swears a lot, and will get in your face (in a good way). She's sick a lot so canceled classes :) You also learn a lot. She can be a bit intimidating though. She's one of my favorite!

Mitzi is an amazing faculty. She is smart and funny. She says whatever is on her mind even if it isn't kosher. I've had her for many classes and I keep coming back for a reason. Much of your work you may have to do on your own though as she does get sick frequently. Text book and attendance are mandatory for a good grade.

Great instructor knows what she is talking about. A lot of videos (on test), so must go to class. Before each exam she gives everything you need to know. HIGH USE OF TEXTBOOKS, so must buy. Easy points. Grades on: homework assignments, exams, one paper, and a group project.

Comment:

Very open, upfront, and honest on topics. Very funny and interesting. She's smart, but she knows it and will rub it in your face. I learned a ton from her and I loved her class, but she is the most tempermental person I have ever met. She's moody and unpredictible. I was a good student, got an A, was her TA, and she still didn't know my name.

She is hilarious. Very fun to go to class, but if you don't go you will be screwed because she is pretty strict with attendance. I really hated her at first because she seemed real rude and arrogant, but after awhile I really liked her. Great teacher. Fair grader. Go to class/take notes you will be just fine.

Absolutely hated her at first, but by the end of the semester I really liked her. She was hilarious, maybe a little inappropriate at times, but it made class so much fun. She has a lot of unfair tricky ?s on her tests. Homework is graded harshly. Lots of extra credit through attendance and extra homework.

I absolutely LOVE Mitzi! She relates the material to real life situations..her stories are hilarious! She is very straight forward and blunt but I personally appreciate that! I would recommend her to anyone!

Mitzi is an absolute riot, it was honestly kind of a slap to the face coming right out of high school. She's very liberal in her teaching style, and you absolutely cannot forgo the readings if you want to pass. Still, she managed to keep the topics interesting -- and I don't think I'll ever forget her to-better-pleasure-a-woman lecture.

I took this class as a freshman and didn't think it was the easiest class, but very interesting!!! highly recommend. mitzi is hilarious and likes to call on people. A lot of reading from 2 books. Tests varied, depending how well you read and how much you took notes from the videos. I would probably do better in this class now being a sop****re.
