Doesnt grade papers until the semester is over so you dont know how youre doing. Relied on students to tell her what we were doing and when papers were due. Lectures were on subjects that she is involved in and would try to relate back to what were supposed to write about. Avoid this class if you can.

Professor Jones makes what could be a boring subject interesting. She uses humor and real life circumstances to make you understand the subject matter. Definitely recommend!

Mitzi Jones is the best professor i have had so far. She is so fun, and REALLY cares about your grades. Very easy class, she loves to talk and if i ever had a question i wouldnt be afraid to ask her for help. Enjoyed her class so much, wish i could have her for comp II!

Advanced comp class. Spent each class discussing readings from the book. The only grades were three 4-6 page papers based on the readings. She takes forever (like 6 weeks) to grade papers and often showed up to class unprepared. Derailed class one day to go on a political rant. Nice lady, but class was haphazard, disorganized, and frustrating.

Terrible teacher. Only 3 assignments the entire semester. Poor feedback, doesn't give enough instruction/detail, lots of homework but it's all reading. Class was so boring I think I fell asleep a few times. Likes to bring politics into class. Choose another teacher for Advanced Comp.

Loved having her for a teacher. She was energetic and very helpful, and if you came to class and actually tried to do your assignment she would work with you. I learned a lot from her. I had her for Comp.1 and Writing class.

Professor Jones was very amusing and a great teacher. She is so open to anything, and tries to make essays more relatable and personal. She also makes the class fun. The book is a must!

Had her for Advanced Composition, she is an okay professor. She does miss A LOT of class, and doesn't notify students when she is absent. We had three papers due throughout the semester and they were interesting. She was helpful when I was actually able to get in touch with her. She is little hyper and hard to get.

I had her for Advanced Composition. She's actually a pretty good professor. She's good about making a paper relevant and important to the individual student. She's really random and a little hard to get a hold of sometimes. She rarely cancels class and you need the text book in order to write the papers as she likes you to cite the text.

I took American Lit online, and while the course work was easy and clearly explained, there was very little feedback throughout the semester. If an easy A is your goal, take this course online. If you want to learn something, try the classroom.

She's super funny and she's really helpful as long as you make the effort to do your work right. Always have a stapler for her class (it's one off her pet peeves). Also alwalys do the reading. One day the whole class didn't do it and I thought she was gonna blow a fuse but as long as you do the work she's great.
