Her lectures are amazing. Everything cover in class is on the test, she makes sure you understand everything and there is no homework. However, you must work similar problems from the book just to practice and you will be fine. She gives extra credit points just by answering questions in class. There are 5 quizzes but they are just to boost your gd

Comment:

Shes a great math teacher, I always struggled to pass any math class but taking this teacher made math so easy. She explains everything sooo good and slowly for everyone. Theres no homework, all you have to do it study for weekly quizzes. Although, If you miss one class you fall very behind.

Mrs. Bartel is very nice, but I felt like someone like myself who has a learning disability it was too hard. Yes she gives you tricks on how to get an answer but she only grades on pop quizzes and exams. I felt like she didn't encourage me to stay and help me one and one so I dropped the class.

Literally the best math professor I've ever had. Explains everything until you get it, and has the best jokes ever! Absolutely recommend! Homework is optional but definitely a good idea!

Mrs. bartel gives you a great amount of detailed information while lecturing. However, it's your responsibility to be in class and on time because time waits for no one. By far one of the best math professors coc has.

I would say that She is the best math teacher I 'd had. I used to struggle a lot with math but she teaches a lot of useful tricks, She is very caring and makes you want to work hard. As she always says it's for your own benefit. I would love to take all my math classes with her. Great way to teach.

I took Mrs. Bartel for the PAL Math058-Math060 and she was great. She taught very thoroughly and answered any questions you have. She doesn't like phones but only for good reason. I recommend taking her if you are a focused and ready to learn. Hope this helps!

I took Bartel in fall for a 058/060 PAL class. She is very helpful, hilarious and wants you to learn and cares an abundance amount about her students. Visual teacher. If you participate you can earn extra credit. Easy class. FIND YOURSELF A STUDY GROUP!!!!!!

Mrs. Bartel is a great professor. She doesn't just give out A's, you'll have to earn it. The lectures are long but very essential since there is no required HW. Also some material on the test wont be covered during the class lectures so make sure you study the entire chapter at home. She makes the material very student friendly.

She is funny and likes to make jokes. She is very clear and shows all the steps and will answer any questions. HW is not mandatory but there are daily quizzes based off the HW. Grade is based off of quizzes, chapter exams, and final. Do the HW and it will really help you. Gives extra credit. Best math teacher I've had, would take again.

My first and favorite professor at COC. She is funny and very helpful if you have any questions or comments. She doesn't assign homework for a grade but do it anyway because that is where all tests and Daily quizzes come from. She makes lectures very easy to understand and easy to pay attention to. She will give extra points for participation!

Bartel is an overall great professor! She's funny and helps with any concerns after class. She doesn't assign homework but it is essential to study notes as she usually gives quizzes straight from them. Also make sure to review the chapters on your own outside of class since there's no HW it will make the material easier to understand.

Came from Canada and was my first professor, and taking math with her was the best. Mrs. Bartel is an amazing teacher. She is very clear at explaining how to do a formula and shows different ways to get the answer. This class was easy, i never took notes but i paid attention and showed up and got a A. She is hilarious in class and nice.

Puts her own twist on learning techniques which makes it fun. Lots of quizzes and tests but as long as you do the work, follow along in class and do the recommended homework then it is an easy A. Lectures are fun, she's great at keeping your attention. Would definitely take again.

I think all math classes are boring, but take one with Bartel and you will bored to death. I do not like the way she teaches. She has the class copy down math questions that are already worked through and answered, then she goes over them painfully slow. She is strict about time and attendance. I wish she lectured differently

Professor bartel is great and gives helpful tricks for math sections. She's happy to clear up anything you don't understand during breaks and lectures. Def going to take her for 70.
