Honestly, I see a lot of negative ratings.. and most of the things people say are true. she's not very good at lecturing and she's very confusing to listen to. However, if you are a dedicated student that participates in class by giving answers when she asks the class, shell grade your exams fare... Just be prepared to work hard and push for an A

Pros:textbook is optional Cons: lazy, rude, unorganized, dismissive. Prof Moya will make you regret taking Calculus. She begins class late and doesn't greet anyone and begins working on the white board with no explanation. She hands out poorly made worksheets and spends the entire class period on her computer. Strongly Avoid, she is terrible.

Took her during the Fall 2016. At first she was extremely confusing and for some students that remained for the rest of the semester. I however, would read the topics ahead of schedule and tried to prepare myself the best I could. She assumes we know the material which can be frustrating. Spends most of the time teaching theory. Tough Class & Prof

Dr. Mazorow has a different style of teaching. Her style aims at making sure students understand the work they do. Students aren't expected to memorize lectures, you can get a credit for your work as long as you show you understand the material. The class is hard, but she does everything in her power to make sure students get good grades.

Most unclear lectures I've ever had. Expects you to know everything, just starts doing a problem on the board without any instruction. Don't take this class if you actually want to learn about calculus. She's sweet and approachable, but even asking questions/office hours was pointless b/c she likes to talk about pointless stuff going on in her life

My personal experience in her Math 29 class was terrible. She normally talks about her personal life, goes back to the subject, and then goes off on another tangent. It was difficult to follow what she was saying in class because of how disorganized it is & the exams were not reasonable. Avoid if possible.

I had her many years ago, I think it was Math 2. She was disorganized, but I mostly remember her as malicious. Not a lot of room to type here, but long story short she took a disliking to me and sabotaged my grade. Not sure if wielding scoring as a personal weapon is a pattern or it was just me, but look out if she decides she doesn't like you.

Yes the lectures aren't great, but if you show up and work hard this professor will give you the benefit of the doubt. The tests are doable and she is very generous with partial credit. Calculus is not an easy subject.

Not a class I would recommend to anyone taking more than 8 units including the 5 from this course. Lectures feel pointless to majority of classmates upon discussion and tests are on subjects scarely taught in class. Light speed pace. If your only option, wait for another professor next semester unless you want a C for 3 days a week in the mathlab.

Her lectures aren't very clear, but she knows her stuff and is a fair grader. She gives partial credit on exams and is lenient about when you turn in homework. She has a relaxed teaching style, but is strict on attendance and wants you to come to class prepared, having read the material beforehand.

She seems like a nice person but probably the worst professor I had. Let me break it down for you. Lectures are not organized, grading criteria not clear, no help for preparation for exams. Rambles about her advanced classes but doesn't actually teach I really don't like giving bad reviews but I think she needs to reevaluate her teaching methods.

She cares about her students and is very approachable, but is not a good lecturer and is very disorganized. Be prepared to do a very large amount of self learning, even more than the typical math class.

Sweet Woman, terrible instructor. If you are majoring in anything other than STEM avoid at all costs. She will waste so much time discussing what her higher level math students are learning. Lectures are rarely clear, unorganized, and she can get distracted. Check her work before copying it in your notes; I guarantee at least 1 error.

She grades hard and drones on about irrelevant things before actually covering any material. Waits last minute to answer any questions and often leaves the class feeling confused and unprepared. Makes it clear in the beginning that you're kind of on your own. Sweet gal but not really helpful in getting a well rounded understanding of the material.

I'm going to be completely honest, professor Mazorow has a unique sense of humor. She's always positive and makes sure the class is confident before a test. Attend her office hours, don't just sit back and judge her teaching style. She knows how to make math easy and stands out as a STEM leader. She loves football :)

Great teacher. Fair grader, she knows your a human and what your capabilities are. Fair tester. And she has a strong belief that only through pain and suffering, a student can grow to become a powerful mathematician. If you put in the work, you will see results. As soon as you slack, its over. Definitely a doable class. Took her again for math 10.
