Comment:
Mrea is a very sweet person who has an undeniable passion for art history. This class was a great opportunity to really experience the art in Italy as well as have a personal tour guide from Mrea herself. She provides alot of information/content that makes the essays (2) pretty easy to write and she truly cared about our overall experience.

Professor Csorba is so scatterbrained it hurts. She was also quite rude to students. Don't plan on going to the restroom during class because she WILL embarrass you in front of the entire lecture hall and want to speak with you after class. Doesn't really make sense... Easy class but she was made it painful

I highly recommend taking this class because it's only a 2 week course and you have the opportunity to get 6 credits in Rome and Florence! However, Dr. Csorba was very disorganized, lectures were very long and boring, and she frequently gets off topic. Being in Italy makes it worth it though! Just be prepared to take notes for the two final papers!

Dr. Csorba is a good teacher. Her lectures are right to the point so you know what information is important. She prints out the power point slides for you before class and you take your notes on the slides. She gives good feedback with the essays that help you review for the exams.

Professor Csorba is very nice. Make sure to take notes. She gives extra credit in exams and in participation. Only 3 short essays and 3 tests! Make sure to participate in class so she can know you. Go to her office for extra help. When she review for tests take photo of the slides because you will have the same review questions in the test! Easy A

She is honestly an awful professor. She gets extremely off topic and most of the class was spent laughing at her.

Way too much work for a UCOR class. I was unable to focus on my very important classes for my major how I needed to because of the ridiculous amount of papers, readings, studying, and mandatory field trips we were required to go on. Fulfill your history requirement with another class/professor at all costs.

very passionate professor, but I did not enjoy this class whatsoever. We met once a week & were never able to get through all the info, leaving us stranded when it came to writing her various papers. She hated answering our questions in class, leaving us all confused. Spent way too many hours on this class every week considering it is a UCOR class.

When you get 1-on-1 with Csorba she's a very "no nonsense type of prof." She doesn't like when you ask questions in the middle of class and doesn't tolerate any excuses, even if you're a student who has proved themselves. Her Pwpt slides don't line up with what is on the exam. She isn't the type of teacher who "wants what's best for her students"

I took ARHY 161 class. it was one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken so far. I am a science student and my time is already invested on other clasess. However this class is an easy A. take notes on your slides lecture materials are interesting and she is doing great work explaining things. by focusing in lecture and you will be fine.

Her tests are easy and there are opportunities for extra credit. However, she needs to work on time management. She wastes too much time on pointless things, then after realizing that class is almost over, she then crams everything in and keeps people late. Take in the spring because music is in the second half of the semester!

This teacher is one of the best teachers I have had the pleasure of having. I am a science major and had to take this class for an elective but I am very glad I did. As long as you go to class and take the notes on what she says, her tests are straightforward and easy. She tells you exactly what to study and there is no reason not to get an A.

One of the best professors at Duquesne! Her teaching style is very thought provoking and very simple to follow. She gives great opportunities for extra credit to all the students and works very hard to make sure all the students earn the grades they want. Dr. Csorba's courses are super interesting, would absolutely take her course again!!

Maybe worst teacher I've ever had. She wastes at least 10 minutes a class lecturing students about how rude it is to use the restroom during class. Doesn't answer questions if they challenge her point of view. Very frustrating to listen to. Gives extra credit and study guides for tests, which is the only reason she isn't completely horrible.

She is such as easy teacher, but it was difficult staying awake. She is too obsessed with art talks about nonsense but if you just put in a little effort, it is really nothing to worry about. Ended up with 100% in this part of the class with the extra credit on the tests.
