Contrary to what people say, Farooq isn't that bad... he's got a sense of humer and he's not afraid to use it on you... You won't find a professor that cares as much as he does, but he won't hesitate to piss you off if he has the chance... just remember to have a sense of humor, be prepared to teach yourself a lot, and don't ask questions in class!

Farooq's classes are all the same: it could be an easy A, but then one small mistake on each test and you wind up with a D. So you could come out with an A and not know Jack, or know everything and get a D. Go figure. But if you do actually learn anything, it's not because of Farooq.

Dr Farooq is often a fun guy to be around...outside of class, but a nightmare during class. He doesn't know his ass from a whole in the ground about most of the material he presents. Also, he clearly favors female students (attractive ones).

he doesn't teach over anyone's head because he is a physics major and has never taken an EE class in his life. he just makes it up as he goes. try getting a straight answer out of him (especially in digital) he has no clue whatsoever.

Once class time came he would move quickly through the material. He has a wonderful sense of humor but you must be aware that there is Farooq the professor and Farooq the friend. Once he realizes you're trying you'll be OK.
