Comment:

Mun Son is a great professor. He really cares and wants his students to do well in his class. His lectures are very funny and gives very helpful study guides for the test. Reading the textbook is crucial for understanding the material and reinforcing class lectures. Overall, great class and great professor.

Comment:

Mun is good as a professor and as a person. He understands statistics deeply, which is obvious in his lectures. His lectures highlight the important parts of the textbook, and often life advice. The textbook is EXTREMELY helpful in supplementing the lectures, and the end-of-chapter problems from the textbook are perfect practice for the tests.

Professor Son is such a kind and gentle person. The grading criteria is very specific which is nice, and hes always accessible for help. The material is quite challenging for some. If you do the homeworks after the lectures to reinforce the material, it helps a lot. Use the TAs for help Before the exams and youll be fine.

Read the book and take the on line quizzes after he teaches the chapter in lecture to keep up. He makes very helpful study guides and really enjoyed teaching the class which made it a pleasant experience

Professor Mum Son was the best professor that I have met in UVM. He was an interesting person and not too many tests. He would like to help you anytime when you have any questions. He is nice and I strongly recommend you to take his course.

Absolutely love him! Dr. Son loves his students and he wants his students to do great. He really cares his students and knowledgeable in his field. I learn a lot of life philosophy as well. I want to take some stats classes again with him if possible.

He is a great teacher! Would certainly take him again. Definitely, read the textbook or the class will be very hard. Very funny man. Can be taken off on tangents sometimes, but they are always good stories, generally about his life. Three total exams and a project. Overall its a good class with a good professor.

Absolutely love him!! So sweet and caring -- will 100% work with you with anything you need. Class can seem unecessary since he teaches right out of the textbook, but he takes attendance so make sure to go! Material is not bad if you read the textbook. Online homework, 2 midterms, a final, and a project (completion grade) are part of the class!

MUN SON IS THE MAN! He loves his students so much. He literally told us he loves us multiple times in class. Even gave us chocolate one day. He knows a lot about stats and loves to teach it. Gets off topic on a lot of tangents but they're great to listen to and he talks about how life in the US is different than Korea. Definitely recommend

Professor Mun Son is a great teacher and definitely knows what he's doing. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Throughout the semester we had a series of hw, a project, 2 midterms and a final. His homework assignments and exams are straight forward if you take the time to study... which you should b/c that's why we're in college.

Literally the greatest man alive. Your understanding of the subject doesn't matter, just go to his office hours and build a relationship and you will get an A or B+ in the class. I guarantee it. He is so sweet.

I learned pretty much nothing from attending lecture sections, but attended anyway because he takes attendance. I did well in the course because the book has a good online component that helps you out and the material is not all that hard. Mun Son is fun as a person, but very ineffectual as a professor.

I literally learned nothing by going to the class but went because he takes attendance. Do the homework and study the book. The class get annoying at times but stick with it because you WILL get a good grade. I got a 80 on the first test and 74 on the second test and a B+ on the hw. I got a A- in the class :) Also go to his office hours.

I had his 830 class which sucked bc its impossible to make stats interesting that early. Son did a good job though bc he gives a serious lecture for about a half hour and then goes off onto funny and completely unrelated stories. The material is pretty tough, really try to come to class bc his tests are on the stuff in his notes. study definitions!
