Awful teacher!!! Do not take Yazan. He seems like a good teacher until you get your first paper back and the class average is a D. I had only a few formatting mistakes, and he told me my content was good... I got a D. Avoid at all costs!!

Great guy. Taught me a huge amount in very little time. All the tech. writing I learned in his class helped my obtain the job I have now. If you love all things writing and are willing to learn, this man will help you. After I took his class he stayed in contact and offered to help me with my resume.

He was a really rough teacher. He would take points off for the littlest of mistakes. Insulted my major and other majors constantly. I don't think he realized that we had no choice but to take that class because he taught it like it was important to us. Overall his assignments were useless and way to big for what they were.I wouldn't recommend him.

Mr. Yazan is a great professor! Those who complain that hes "hard" and its a stupid class dont know what their talking about. He pushes you to do your best and expects nothing less than perfect. He def helped me in my writing, and i ended up with an A in the class. Do the work the way he wants you to do it and youll be fine. One of my favs!

Seriously, all previous negative comments should be discarded. Yazan is the type of professor that will be on the hard side, but you will be thanking him for it. He will make you better at writing and help you prepare for your major. Also he shows students cool tricks for Microsoft Word and Research. Bottom line: you'll get your moneys worth.

He is a really nice guy once you get to know him. He'll be a smartass to you, if you are one to him. He is a laid-back kind of guy and a lot of fun. He grades how HE wants to grade. He knows what sucks and what doesn't. He is a great professor. I made an A in his class. I am even taking him in a different type of class. Great guy!

HATE this class. If you want to learn about business, take this. Very hard assignments and not alot of time to complete them. He is rude and talks about WalMart all the time. Will takes lots of points for the smallest mistakes. All about formatting. Lots of big projects--pointless!!! I'll never take another one of his classes! Worst teacher ever!!

At first, he seemed like a hard ass, but after getting to know him, he was really funny and extremely nice. He likes talking to you one-on-one. This way he can tell you are really interested in getting a good grade. If you don't like a lot of work, don't take him.

best english teacher i have ever had. do the work and come to class and he will make sure you get an A and leave the class knowing what your doing. Also very helpful in preparing students for future classes. Very funny, and understanding.
