Comment:

Dr. MAC is great at teaching German. I took the two-for-one semester class at an increased rate, but I was still able to make As for both classes, and I will be going to Germany for study abroad in a matter of days (at the time I wrote this, obviously). Take German!

Comment:

Two weekly writing assignments, but they were usually pretty short. I think she seemed to give you a lower grade is you had a differing opinion from hers. She brought free notebooks, pens, and doughnuts to class a couple of times. She also brought her dog once. Presentations were really laid back as well.

Dr. Mac is a true gem. I abhor German, but she made learning the language absolutely effortless for me. She is witty, smart, and very, very open to helping her students. I went to her office every day for a week for help on a concept and she was incredibly patient and helpful. I cannot wait to take her again in the fall!

Excellent professor - very engaging and really wants you to understand the material. Be ready to learn Deutsch. There is a quiz once every week, and great movie (Lola Rennt) you must watch for the course. Dr. MAC is my favorite professor thus far - I would take her course again in a heart beat. Book is good up to 2002 level - so buy if GRMN major.

350 characters is not enough to persuade you how great of a teacher Dr. Mac is. She's clear, knowledgeable, explains WHY, makes class fun (makes u talk out loud but that helps u learn), gives detailed syllabus in advance, tests are over stuff we learned... the list goes on. If you follow instructions and get help when needed = A. FUN CLASS

Frau MAC is hard, yet she makes you fall in love with the subject!! You must do your work in her class, because she doesn't put up with slackers. She works as hard as she can to help you succeed, but it's ultimately up to you to do the work required! She is a hard professor, but it pays off. I highly recommend her! Best German Professor ever!

The class requires a good bit of work, but is not too hard. Although there are 2 big papers in the class that are challenging, but they just take more time than anything. She can be a big smart@$$ at times, but is pretty nice. I wouldn't necessarily recommend her.

One of the best foreign language professors I've ever had. I learned more German in her block course than I did Spanish throughout all of high school. She is extremely helpful, and is very willing to work with you to make sure you understand the material. Makes class fun and entertaining. You will laugh! Sie ist am besten deutsche Professorin!

One of the best teachers I've ever seen. Thoroughly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and keenly interested in her students and subject matter. She is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. She makes classes fun and she throws jokes in to help you understand the new vocab. She gives you every opportunity possible to succeed. If you need help, she's more then willing and doesn't make you feel stupid. I strongly suggest you take her if you are going to do German.

I loved this class! I want to minor in German now. Her class is a lot of fun in all the different ways we study. She's a great professor and very easy to talk to. She also has a great sense of humor. I had a lot of fun singing the german songs even though it was a little awkward at first. Wonderful professor I definitely reccommend! Ausgezeichnet!!

I loved Cormican. When I was having trouble with my grade, I went to her and she gave me a lot of helpful advice. Also, she drops a lot of quiz grades. Yay! So, if you STUDY and are prepared to do homework, you should do fine.

Dr. C is the most inspirational person i have ever met! Her classes are intelectually stimulating with no tollerance for slackers looking for an easy A. Pay attention, go to class and use your brain as more than a paperweight; you should get at least a C. Use your cellphone or come late...and welcome to hell. i love her, but she has made me cry:)

Dr. Cormican is a wonderful professor. I have noticed that the people who don't like her as much, don't work very hard. She will show you the utmost respect if you work hard in her class. She really knows her stuff and she expects respect and a strong work ethic. She doesn't expect any more than any college professor should. A great professor!
