This teacher is a joke. The semester is ended and i STILL dont have a grade in moodle. I reached out to him and he responds to several questions with either a single yes or single no. Literally each test is vocabulary only, so find the vocab in the back of the book, make a quizlet, and you will make an A EASY. The man is a lunatic. Good luck.

I love Dr. Dirksen! A lot of people say he is quirky, but I love that about him! He gives a lot of extra credit and if you try, you will have a solid a in his class. Such a fun professor with a cool life he loves to talk about! He doesn't have a format for lectures though, so if you are a person who needs structure, this class may be stressful!

Dr. Dirksen is an interesting professor with thought-provoking lectures! His grades are spread out, and reading the text helps tremendously. Participate, Participate, Participate! A hilarious man with some super crazy stories about his time on the "Res". A real grade A fella!

This was my first class with Dirksen and I was really surprised by how great it was! 7:45 is an early class time but he made it bearable. Really funny, straight forward study guides, and easy class overall. Wish I could take hime for more classes!

I had him for GP, weirdest class I've ever taken. The bigger the crowd he's in front of, the more bizarre he gets. SOC was better, but he still says strange and inappropriate remarks, for the shock factor. He mumbles, and calls out people from the class more than necessary. However, he really cares about students and has a heart for anthropology

I take Global Perspectives from Dirksen in a lecture hall, and we have assigned seating. I was assigned the very top and I can never hear him. He mumbles and his voice cracks every time he speaks. He makes me uncomfortable. We have a quiz every class, a project and a paper due during convocation week, and if we miss class we fail.

I took Dr. Dirksen for my Anthropology major. Although I am no longer an Anthropology major, I still enjoy this class! He is a HILARIOUS guy. His class is easy if you show up, and it is really fun. Only one thing is unclear (and still is) in his class. Nevertheless, I recommend him for anybody! :)

By far my favorite teacher at Lee! He makes sociology really interesting and you have no notes or tests in his class. You have to read the chapters in the book for weekly quizzes but that's it! Definitely recommend him.

I have truly enjoyed Dr. Dirksen's sociology class (and his GP class)! I have gained a new perspective of society and culture because of it. Take his class, do all the assignments (of which there are not many), participate in the discussion (he enjoys hearing your thoughts) and you will do great!
