Really nice guy but HORRIBLE TEACHER. Tests are IMPOSSIBLE no matter how hard you study. AVOID HIM. He doesn't attempt to make sure you understand the material and treated me like an idiot then wonders why we do horribly on the exams. DO NOT TAKE THIS GOD AWFUL TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!

Comment:
Yun's lectures are frequently incomprehensible which is exacerbated by his tendency to not erase the board and write into or on top of previous work. He refuses to hand back the hw or post hw answers.Tests are really disjointed from both the lectures and his practice problems which makes it hard to prepare for them (the class average is in the 50s)

I can see why he is disliked, because he is hard and sometimes incomprehensible.I would not take this class if you are just econ-curious.however, if you put in the effort and enjoy the material, you will learn alot. He is a very bright teacher, and the class left me with a much more practical understanding of developmental econ. Pretty funny too.

Honestly, the worst experience I've had at tulane. Avoid like the plauge. I took him for Development Econ. His lectures dont' make any sense. I had to teach myself everything. His tests are very tricky, and because of the language barrier are very difficult to understand. Avoid him like the plauge. He is funny tho.

Yun, while a nice guy with good intentions, was not a professor I would recommend in any circumstance. The course is strictly mathematical and you will likely learn nothing new or interesting about development economics. Stay away...

Really charming guy. Very thick accent, which is a problem if you're not following. Not really any cohesiveness in how he covers topics. Tests are decently easy, but you do need to grasp the info. If you're not following him COPY EVERYTHING HE WRITES ON THE BOARD, cause his notes actually do make things clearer when study time comes around.

Don't bother buying the textbook because he won't use it. This was more a Calculus class than anything else. Really nice guy but his lectures and tests had no cohesiveness.

His notes are all over the board, and I would not recommend him if English is not your first language. Also, his tests are somewhat ridiculous (in the sense that some parts don't make sense). But he is a smart guy with a good grasp of the material. He can actually teach, which is unusual in the Tulane Econ department.

Very difficult to grasp at the time. Everyone did so horrible on the final that I got a "B" with a score of 19/50. Great guy, very funny and adorable, but hard to understand.
