I had Nagesh for multiple design classes at Stout. Will ALWAYS push you to come up with better solutions but it pays off.. his students produce the best work by far. If you aren't willing to put in time, you won't do well. Need to be willing to change your ideas and start over. Nagesh helps prepare students for industry as well. Great professor

Nagesh helped me so much in class. I have improved so much as a designer because of him. If you are really dedicated to GD and are passionate, you will love this class. Be prepared for great work to go in your portfolio!

He was one of the best professors I've ever had. I also worked with him and some peers on out-of-class projects and he was very down to earth. He's takes crap from no one, so if you're not planning to show up to class regularly, you WILL fail. You have a spend a lot of money on some projects, but his classes always produce the best work.

I was going to switch my major out of GD before taking this class. He is so inspiring-always giving us amazing resources for visual research & inspiration. He gives us opportunities for leadership in the class. Gave us advice on finding internships, portfolios, & resumes. Got us funding for getting our projects photographed & studio tours. AWESOME!

He is not a good teacher at all. He is the type of person who thinks he is the best designer in the world. Tears you down like you shouldnt be in GD. Gives you looks of disgust when he looks at your work. If youre good, you will get plenty of attention. If youre good/so-so, or bad, watch out!!! The meanest person I have ever met!!!!

He plays favs hardcore and will RIDICULE you in front of the class! He made my semester HELL and made me loose interest in the areas the classes focused on! He also made me feel REALLY stupid and that I didn't deserve to be in GD! He also makes you need to pay TONS for projects! He thinks he's the god of design and complains about American design!

I had Nagesh for GD 2 and I have to say I really enjoyed him. Rather than telling you one direction to go in, he gave you options. His comments were positive even if you could tell he wasn't a fan of your work. I thought he was an interesting person and a good teacher.

I enjoyed Nagesh as a person, and as a teacher. He has an energetic personality, and he's always willing to give you input and suggestions. I really enjoyed having him as my instructor. Work hard and produce a lot of concepts and he will go out of his way to help you. Has a lot of real world knowledge.

He seems to think it's his job to decide who gets to be in the field of design, verses recognizing peoples differences and teaching everyone. He's bias, unclear, unprofessional--addresses "popular" students instead of the entire class. Little room for student interaction regarding their design work. I'd never quit design, but I would quit Nagesh.

I found there was little room for student engagement in Nagesh's classes. I felt there was a strong bias toward popular students and lack-luster interest in overall student success. I found him unapproachable and felt frowned upon when I tried to ask questions. He seemed disinterested, unengaged, and unhappy about being there.

Wow! I am surprised to read these comments. I know students who don't like him wants instructor to design their projects for them. STOP complaining AND ASK QUESTIONS. ASK! ASK!! He really pushes you to get quality work.

So If your looking for an education from a solid professional with good communication skills and better yet hot teaching skills, someone who enjoys his job and not looking for an easy way to slack off, then he isn't for you. Unfortunately he's here for the long haul and he's terrible. Unspecific, clings to cliche trends. AVOID him like the clap.

Nagesh is unhelpful, unclear, and pretty much useless as a teacher. He doesn't clearly define projects, he doesn't answer questions well. He frankly does not teach- AT ALL. After having him for two semesters-info design and product package- I can honestly say that did not learn anything from him. DO NOT TAKE IF UNLESS YOU WANT TO YHROW YOUR $ AWAY

Incredibly unclear about expectations. Definetly has his favorite students. His critiques of your work is usually incredibly unclear and lacks real substance. The assignments appear haphazard and he doesnt seem to have a specific lesson in mind. Avoid this guy at all costs.

He is incredibly unclear about his expectations of his students and about the assignments he gives. He actually yelled at some of us when we asked him to clarify what he was assigning. He never said anything useful in critiques and changed his mind daily about what he wants you to do. TERRIBLE teacher!!! Avoid at all costs.
