Professor Benson is a wonderful person and professor. You will work for the grade because she wants to to really develop your writing skills. If you put in the effort, she will bend over backwards for you. She is always there if you need assistance. Also, the course material was very interesting! Take Professor Benson's class if you can.

Comment:

Professor Benson is one of the toughest english teachers I've ever had but it's pushed me to be a better writer. She's a tough critic, but gives a lot of opportunities for extra points and gives great feedback. While she expects a lot, she's a great teacher who knows her stuff.

I had her for 100 and she was simply the best, she was sweet, funny, and if I could I would have her again for a different course. She was always down to help her students and showed us nothing but kindness.I barely used the book but you are going to need it for homework.

Clear syllabus, but she updates it all the time, so you have to keep on top of it. Flexible due dates and essay check-ins galore. Gives feedback on drafts. If you keep yourself updated and her as well, you will do fine. Paper lengths are very flexible, as well.

This professor doesn't have the patience or tolerance teachers should have. She can be helpful but is extremely rude! She doesn't like to repeat herself but if she doesn't repeat herself, she'll forget having said anything. Whoever decides to take her class, good luck. It's not impossible to fail but her personality makes class less... enjoyable.

She is such a sweetheart.I loved this class,it was really fun.Her activities were really fun and her essays were fun too!No mid-term and no finial just finial essay but other than that it was a good class sad I don't have her again. And she's really picky when it comes to essays she likes it a certain way but she's real flexible on the due dates

such a laid back person. assignments can be made into whatever you want mostly. shell explain everything as much as you ask her. there were no actual due dates for the essays either. she does play favorites but it doesn't take much to be a favorite. show up everyday and be personable w her. did everything last minute and got an A- overall.

looooved professor benson! i know people think she plays the favorites card, but its not that she has favorites, she just appreciates the students who actually try. only 5 papers, she gives you multiple chances to revise your essays to get a better grade. no midterm or final. show up for class and do your work and you will get an A!
