One of the best professors on campus. Her class pretty much changed how I view history as mere facts of the past into the personal realities of ourselves and others in our communities.

Nancy is a ray of sunshine. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met! I had her for my seminar and she was genuinely invested in what she was teaching. She made everything so much easier and she was so fun and quirky! Best professor at UPS by far.

Nancy Bristow is the best professor I've had so far! She makes her class extremely interesting and going to this class always brightens my day. I wouldn't call history a favorite subject of mine, but Professor Bristow made this subject my favorite. I look forward to class everyday. I wish I was majoring in history just so I could take more of her.

I took her for my first year seminar. I know already she is the best professor I will ever have. Enthusiastic and interesting. She doesn't let you slack off on participation or papers, but she gives great feedback (often more than 1/2 page single spaced) on assignments. If you do the reading, easy A. Don't leave UPS without taking a class with her!

Initially I loved her but after your first class she loses her splendor. She over emphasizes the same issues, which often causes her to lose sight and rush over other major historical events. Also, although she is nice and fun she's not a great teacher

Great teacher, I went in not really know what to expert, but overall enjoyed the class. I got really sick around finals, she was very understanding and gave me an extension on a final essay. Highly recommend.

Probably the best teacher I've had at the University thus far in my college career. Nancy cares about her work and wants you to do well. As long as you listen to what she's in class and do some of the readings (the easy ones) you can't get below a B.

I went into this class dreading it, who wants to go over how to cite sources? However, walking away, this class has been one of my favorites, and it is because of Nancy. She actively engages in the learning of each student and provides great feedback on papers. I strongly recommend her as a HIST 200 prof. and I would take a class from her again.

Nancy is hands down, the greatest professor at the University, very welcoming to different points of view, and extraordinarily helpful on papers. if you do not take a class with her, you have not gotten your money's worth for a UPS tuition.

I took this 200-level class as a freshman, so thought I would have difficulty keeping up with the pace of the upperclassmen. Nancy was great, though...the way she teaches the course and her enthusiasm for teaching...it really made the class a lot more animated and interesting. She hosted several dinners for student at her house, and on exam days, she brought snacks like cookies, muffins, milk and juice. She is such a wonderful instructor...try to get one of her classes!
