She was insistent that you do things according to the standards that she set for the course. She can come across as harsh, but it was really useful for me in the course of the semester. I ended up with greater expectations for my own work, so that was a good thing.

I have her for modern russian culture. Still vibrant and sexy at 55, she's so energetic and enthusiastic about her field. VERY smart, no-**** kind of lady, kind of course at times but has really awesome stories about living in the Soviet Union. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nancy is the bomb dot com! It has been 12 years since I took her medievil Russian history classes, and I still remember the material. Sviatapolk and Sviatoslav are seered in my memory! Her classes are fun, interesting, and memorable! Pitt should be thankful to have her!
