One of the worst professors I have ever encountered. She never taught simply handed out worksheets did them on the board and said we should have known this already. Recommend taking a online class it would be half the work than what professor Eschen gives the majority of ti is busy work. DO NO RECOMMEND WHAT SO EVER!!

Comment:

Literally the hardest math class so far because of how it's taught. The professor is kind, but almost impossible to follow. Most of the material she flies through and says we should already know it from previous classes and to review it on our own. The textbook used is awful at explaining things and there is SO MUCH HOMEWORK!!!

This professor is very scatterbrained. She will be in the middle of teaching and then get distracted by something else in the room and then never go back to the topic she was discussing. She is also constantly handing out worksheets and assigning TONS of HW. Its an easy class to pass, but I am sure there are more efficient teachers out there.

The beginning of the course is easy since beginner material is naturally easier to teach and explain, but once she starts assigning new material she tends to ramble for 30 minutes and then go into theoretical scenerios, instead of actually explaining the current concept.

I'm not sure why I thought taking this class online was a good idea, because it was a terrible idea. It's very difficult material and very hard to learn on your own. (unless you are a math whiz). However, she responds immediately to questions via email and seems very caring. There is a project to do and I'm hoping it will keep me at at least a B!

Great professor. Always makes sure you have what you need to succeed when it comes to proper format and technique when solving the problem. Definitely goes back to the basics to be sure the class fully understands. She's really great and always willing to help you.

Prof. Eschen is super charismatic and incredibly smart. She is hardcore and takes her teaching to the next level by incorporating the textbook, online, group discussion, etc. She really makes sure that you understand precalc so you are prepared for calculus. I highly recommend her. LOTS of homework (It's hard when you work) but she does it to help.

I am horrible in math I literally took 8 classes and have not passed til now with a B/ Due to my work schedule I did this course online. She was very helpful give extra credit at the end lets you make up quizzes and homework Take her wont regret it

She did ah-mazing! She made it fun and the way she teaches makes it memorable. The class itself jumps around a lot because you are just learning the tip of the iceberg on multiple parts of calculus. She extends deadlines if you have a good reason for it, and drops the lowest grade at the end of the semester. I will take her for every math possible!

I love professor Eschen. She is so sweet and caring. The class has a lot of homework (online) but it is all to help you. 3 tests in total and a few in class and online quizzes. COME TO CLASS. Her lectures are very helpful and if you need help she will be there for you!

Everything was completed through mymathlab and I used the online testing proctor vs going to the college to take the proctored exams. There is alot of work as expected in a math class so don't get behind. I would take her again if I needed additional math classes.

Great professor that really works with students to help them pass. She is very clear with what she expects from students and goes above and beyond to help them if they are actually trying. Even if you are not doing well but are putting in a big effort she will help you. Would definitely take her again.

She wants you to pass. Answers emails within minutes, and calls you if you get stuck on math problems. Being that I'm not great with math, and this was an online class, I thought I'd have trouble with no tutor around, but she was there for any questions. Plenty of extra credit to make up for low scores. I would definitely take again. I got an A.

Prof. Eschen is not a bad professor. Her class is not for everyone. She puts the students into groups and expects them to figure out the problems on their own without any prior explanation. I badically had to teach myself everything . If you have a job, other classes etc. Stir away from this class it's basically the stress of 4 classes all in one

she was a great teacher who explained topics in class thoroughly. If you need help with a certain topic she discussed dont be afraid to ask. Her class is an easy A if you stay on top of the homework and online quizzes.

Comment:

Eschen is a very sweet lady, but when it comes to understanding what she is teaching, it is very hard. She works so fast and teaches you bare minimum so then on the homework you don't understand. Lots of in class quizzes along with a massive amount of homework. I would not take her again because she teaches very confusing.
