This was my first online class and I would say that it was structured well. For every chapter, she gives you a study guide, which is much like a practice exam for you to take and it really helps you to absorb and re-assess how much you absorbed from the material. You do need the book for this class for the assignments so order it early!

Don't take Professor Ghodrat's class if you have a 4.0 GPA. She will put an end to your President's Medal goal! Super easy assignments, but then a deceiving Final Exam!

Easy Excel assignments (just follow directions in Modules), 2 class participation discussions, 2 midterms. Make sure you KNOW concepts from textbook because Final Exam is painfully hard. Would have preferred a textbook with easier clarity about business accounting. Great teacher, though.

Comment:

A tough class for a full time formal university student. There are many materials being covered in class. It's easy at the beginning, but the final is disastrous. The questions are way tougher than the ones in the mid-terms. I still recommend her. Take her 60 and 65, and you won't regret.

This online class gave me a better understanding of payroll business tax accounting. Do not take a shortcut by not reading the textbook! Professor Ghodrat responds quickly to messages and discussion questions. Her "frequently asked questions" were a big help in clarifying calculations and textbook assignments. Highly recommend class & instructor!

Took it in summer. I DON'T think she is strict on Excel assignments. She HAS her EXPECTATIONS PROVIDED in the syllabus, so just stick with it. Most of the materials should be able to learn by self. And I DON'T AGREE with the person below. For reconciliation chapter, there's a video provided. Recommended for summer.

I agree, her excel assignments were extremely strict and worth very little points compared to test etc. So scaling was a problem. Absolutely no interaction and not enough coursework ESPECIALLY on reconciliation which you DO need to learn. This course is BEST taken over the summer as it is a review of beg financial acct. Don't recommend otherwise.

It's really hard for me to gauge how good of a teacher she is, because her payroll class is so ridiculously easy. I finished all of the assignments in the first week of class and didn't feel the need to study for the exams. She seems nice enough, and is a helpful instructor, but overall the class was a forgettable, easy A.

I've taken Professor Ghodrat twice for her online classes, and I'm very glad I did. She genuinely cares about her students and responds to questions/emails quickly and clearly. Tests are not difficult if you just read the text and review the homeworks. Take her if you want to have an enjoyable online learning experience!

This was my fourth on line class and if it had been my first,I would NEVER do it again. There was so much more interaction with my past instructors which helped all of the students. I'm not sure who is responsible for the test questions but I did begin to wonder if I was being tested for my knowledge of the course material or for my ability to play

Alhough this teacher meant well, she was no good. When I asked her questions she referred me to the text. The tests were very inconsistent; super hard to super easy. I was a wreck trying to prepared for the tests. She threw us to the wolves... It was an online class and there was very little online discussions or encouragement. there.

The teacher is very nice and her Payroll Accounting class is very interesting and helpful. Actually if you really can't take the exams on Sunday, she will change the date of the exams for you. Of course, you still have only two hours to take the test in 4 hours open link.
