Kassop is a good professor, but the online textbook she uses in the course can be problematic if you arent great at keeping up with assignments online. Her lectures are interesting and you can tell she loves her subject.

Kassop cares about her students and loves her subject matter. She's a pretty lenient grader and accepts late work if you have a decent excuse. Overall a pretty great professor, highly recommend.

Nancy requires class participation in order to do well in the class, but anytime a student answers a question that's even slightly off the answer she was looking for, she belittles them and makes them feel stupid and will make you never want to raise your hand again. She also never finishes her lesson and listening to her speak is incredibly boring

Worst professor I've had at New Paltz. She is unrealistic and an extremely tough grader, is very unclear with her directions and gets mad when you're confused. I took AMERGOVT for my US GE and she treats our class like we're all POLSCI majors. She is very condescending and rude when you don't know something. Avoid this professor at all costs.

She is incredibly condescending and rude when you get a question wrong. She laughs if you get it wrong and makes you feel embarrassed and humiliated, but then gets frustrated when the same three people answer questions in class. Awful professor and personality. When nobody get her "obvious" question correct, she gets mad and annoyed. AVOID HER

Her lectures are boring and the class is really slow paced. If you can manage to actually pay attention to her, you can get an A pretty easily. Other than being so bland, she's pretty cool.

Make sure you understand all the intricate details of the cases Kassop asks you to read. Her tests will challenge you to see if you really understood, so don't miss class! I found her to be a powerful speaker, and her clarity will make it easier for you to pick up on what's important. She's a tough grader, but read her feedback because it'll help.

I'm sorry but do not take this class. Its for expert level political science majors and it requires to know too much information for one to learn in a single semester. Too rigorous and she is rude (arrogant). My least favorite class. Very, Very harsh grader.

This is my second class with Professor Kassop. I did enjoy it and she was again very passionate about the subject matter. She was very caring towards her students and is willing to accommodate you as long as you talk to her. Her tests aren't that hard. However, she seemed to ramble on other topics and wasn't always realistic about expectations.

Kassop is a very nice woman who obviously loves her topic with a passion and it shows. Like many professors who love their topic she is sometimes guilty of expecting the same in her students. However, if you pay attention in class and use the textbook(s) to study for her tests you should be fine. She sometimes gives very detailed study guides.

Nancy Kassop is extremely well versed when it comes to law and politics. She actually cares about the profession and knows her stuff. Plus, she is super nice, helpful, and generally all around awesome! You won't regret taking a class with her unless you truly dislike the subject.

This woman is amazing. Vivacious, personable, and extremely dedicated to her study. Intro to Law was my favorite class this semester;I highly recommend it to any serious law student. I put a lot of effort into this class and it paid off tenfold. Buy the textbook, study hard, and you'll do well. 3 exams, a few written assignments, very manageable.

She is extremly knowledgable about every subject she teaches and although she is not easy you will come out of any class with her having gained a ton of great information. You must read the book because she assignes cases from the text that you then go over in class. Well worth the work however

Great prof, really knows her stuff...amazing knowledge of politics! You will learn a great deal. READ THE TEXT BOOK and you'll be fine. Need to study for the tests. She's very helpful if you go to her office. Even if you don't know much about politics you'll find this class interesting.

This woman is really sweet but she expects too much from non-political science majors. You pretty much NEED to read the textbook to understand what it going on in the class. If you don't have to take her, then DON'T.
