Awful professor. Only wants to hear what she believes is true. Cries during class. She knows what shes talking about but is so overly dramatic, we're hear to learn facts not your opinion. Tests are writing heaving and answers have to be exactly what she wants to hear or points will be taken off. Do NOT take this teacher for any class.

Professor Manring is the best person to learn environmental politics/policy from. She's passionate, inspirational, highly educated in the subject, and super nice. Her POLS 4250 and 4260 classes are very interesting and you'll learn so much from her.

not a hard class at all...she's not a SUPERB teacher, but i did learn a few things...if u show up and study like u should its an A class...its very liberal-slanted, but the subject lends itself to that...simple lecture format with a couple of tests....basic college course, she's not THAT bad....

Dr. Manring isn't as bad as people say. Honestly, I didn't find her class to be that hard if you studied what was on the study guide. Not enough points in the class, ridiculous attendance policy for such a large class. All of the material is in the book regardless of what she says. People were very frustrated but you really do learn a lot.

Dr. Manring's lectures weren't too bad but by the end of the class I was falling asleep. I hated that she had to take attendence in a 180 plus class, and that we had assigned seats. Her test were confusing and I felt like most were trick questions, which isnt fair. But I did learn a lot about the environment.

Her environmental policy class is HORRIBLE. Avoid taking this class and having her as a teacher at all costs. We just did an assignment where we had to draw "in extensive detail" a place where we played when we grew up. SO DUMB. Also, on her last exam, the average was a 50/80. If everyone is doing that bad it's HER FAULT

POLS 102 is "Issues in Am. Politics" but she turned it into an environmental policy class. She not only makes us watch Al Gore's doc. but praises it as if it's the absolute truth. I know professors are liberal but a little neutrality would be nice. She talks down to students as if we're all in kindergarten. She's rude, unfunny and obnoxious. AVOID!

This class is absolutely stupid. The first lecture was on how to take notes (i'm not kidding) she will treat your class as if she is teaching a kindergarden. The assignments are overall pretty easy, but there are alot of them.I would never take this class again, esp. since i signed up for issues in politics and ended up with environmental policy.

Terrible. She treats you like your four years old and makes you draw picutres and type out songs. She leads the class in discussions that are 100% biased and dont bother trying to ask or present the other point of view because she doesnt respect anyones opinions but her own. It felt like an episode of Jerry Springer every class.

I just want to say that if it hadn't been for our awesome teacher's aid, kevin, this class would have been completely stupid. It wasn't a great class, but I can honestly say that kevin was the best t.a. I've ever had. Manring does suck though - her class is easy - she still sucks.
