Comment:

Took her spring 2016 for Administration: Prison, Probation, Parole. Not a bad class,just a very long class that was very unorganized. Expect a lot of papers to write. Though the tests are open book and note it is very difficult to take a final exam that has no content from not having any lectures two weeks before the test, only guest speakers.

She has 6 tests for whole semester soley based on her power points. wrote the book for the class but knows little about its content. often couldnt give straight answeres. If you missed the notes your screwed. A lot of group work/ presentations. She just seemed like she didnt care. if you attend class and take notes you will survive but its not fun.

She never seemed prepared. Not good about answering questions. Tests were solely off her lectures but blew through them. No one liked the class. I was excited about the subject material. She wrote the book for the class but seemed to know very little about it sometimes. Rushed us through our tests. It was an easy class but had to suffer through it.

Dr. Marion is a great teacher. Uses powerpoints. Need to read the book! Many complained because they did not buy the book. There are numerous papers to write that are very easy and only help you learn the material.

Government Versus Organized Crime was a great class! Dr. Marion is probably one of the best professors at The University of Akron. She is well-prepared, and has great knowledge on the subject matter! Attendence is taken everyday, and one needs to show up to have success!

Comment:

Politics of Criminal Justice was a fun class. No Tests. There were five 2 to 4 page papers based on questions from class. Papers are easy if you can create a good response while citing class notes and readings. Dr. Marion gives more papers than five so you can drop some if you do bad. Attendence is taken and worth points.

I had Dr. Marion for Political Scandals. She is a very good teacher who cares about her students. She will treat you well if you do the work and attend class. Attendance is part of your grade. No tests. The papers were not bad as long as you attend class and can formulate a good response to the question asked; while citing class notes. Fun Class!

It was a pretty easy class. Dr. Marion is a really cool lady. She's very sarcastic and funny, she keeps things interesting. Pretty much show up, take notes, do the small/easy papers, and offer input into discussions and you've got an A. :D

Very nice lady. Although she is a doctor she does not act like one...AT ALL!!! :) I took one of the Saturday classes with her and it was one of the easiest classes that I had ever taken. Definitely recommend her!

Class was really easy. She let class out early all the time. Six short papers (2ish pages) to write, no tests. Couple class group things to do (run for president, governor) unless you ran, you didnt have to do much. Had to do a small participation project, she didnt even care what you did really. Kinda boring, but an easy A, take if its required.

This class is easy and she is a super nice professor. The class discussions really help you and its almost impossible to get lower than a B unless you really blow the class off. She doesnt take attendance and gives you the material on the test before hand. Simple.....nothing sneaky about her!
