Her Spanish accent is frustratingly American. She switches from topic to topic in class at rapid fire & doesn't teach anything thoroughly. She also assigns excessive amounts of work. But she is eager to help during office hours & will bend over backwards if you reach out. Ultimately, a kind person while a generally average, but effective professor.

She is AMAZING! Take her for Spanish! I had no trouble understanding her lectures andor feedback. She was very clear and helpful all of the time! She gave a lot of homework, but it was mostly workbook pages and composicions that helped you learn. Her tests were pretty easy if you did the homework, studied the book, and listened to her lectures.

Very enthusiastic and extremely nice. Professor Smith is always willing to help as long as you make sure you are coming to class and are doing the work. There is a lot to keep up with but as long as you work around an hour each night before class and attend class, it's easy to get an A.

This class has a good deal of reading. She randomly picks people to lead discussion every class, so you have no choice but to do the readings. WebCT responses are also somewhat time-consuming. Also, the assignments for essays are kind of vague. She is a pretty fair grader and a nice person though. Don't look for this to be an easy class!

Awesome professor! Although she speaks in Spanish the entire semester, she is always willing to help you in ENGLISH during office hours. The class is not difficult as long as you study the book. Going to class is only helpful when she presents new material. She prepares you VERY well for each test-tells you what to study and they aren't too hard

Profesora Smith's awesome. She's a great teacher. Class is easy, but you learn a really lot. She does love group work though, you have to move around every class to work in groups which is kinda annoying, but other than that a great class! I'd definitely recommend taking her!!

A teacher who loves to work in groups every class no matter what. The class has a lot of work but none of it is particularly hard. Mainly a lot of busy work such as going to Spanish table, writing composicions, and doing workbook activities. You don't feel like you learn a lot but the class helps you develop a more diverse vocabulary at the least.

Probably the best teacher at Allegheny. Very caring and understanding towards her students. Grades very fairly and even this Dillian kid who never showed up or did any work on time passed her class. I wish all teachers could be like Mrs. Smith. Take a class with Nancey, you'll love her & learn alot.
